YORK, PENNSYLVANIA: GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump struggled to pronounce the word 'regulatory' during his Pennsylvania rally on Monday, August 19 while addressing a crowd in an attempt to criticize his opponent Kamala Harris.

Trump spoke during a campaign event at 5 pm on Monday at Precision Components Group in York where the economy and energy were the main topics of discussion.

Trump struggles to pronounce 'regulatory'

During his speech, Trump attempted to take jibes at Vice President Harris' environmental policies but faltered when he tried to say 'regulatory.'

The gaffe occurred as Trump accused Harris of pursuing a 'regulatory jihad' aimed at shutting down power plants across the country.

His statement, which was intended to rally his base against the administration's energy policies, was overshadowed due to his struggle to articulate the key term 'regulatory.'

He said, "Kamala is also in a regutory.. regulatory jihad to shut down..." He added, "Kamala Harris is an economy wrecker and a country destroyer."

The latest gaffe comes amid a series of personal attacks by Trump on Harris, whom he has repeatedly referred to as a 'communist' and a 'radical leftist.'

Trump has continuously targeted Harris in his previous rallies as well as in his Truth Social posts where he has called her 'terrible' for the country and accused her of ruining 'everything she touches.'

Trump attacks Biden and Harris during PA rally

During the rally, Trump took jibes at Joe Biden and Kamala Harris by saying, "I would have made billions of dollars in this job if I wanted to play that game the way they played it. But instead I took the job very seriously and very importantly."

Trump has often criticized Biden in his campaign speeches, even as his campaign and Democrats have shifted their focus to Harris. Still, his remarks on Monday included some personal attacks on Harris, according to the New York Times.

Trump took direct aim at Harris' economic agenda and argued that her plans to limit corporate 'price gouging' amounted to price controls.

He also slammed her for failing to explain how she would pay for the spending increases and tax cuts that her plan calls for. He also criticized her for calling for a ban on hydraulic fracturing or fracking, during her failed 2020 presidential run.

Internet trolls Trump as he struggles to pronounce 'regulatory'

Many people on the internet trolled Trump as he struggled to pronounce the word 'regulatory' during his Pennsylvania rally on Monday in an attempt to criticize his opponent Harris.

A user wrote on X, "Seriously folks….Send Crazy Grandpa to a nursing home," while one added, "Imagine how he would mangle 'penitentiary'".

A person also stated, "A rigmarole jihad!" whereas one mentioned, "He’s too old to be President. Someone should look into that."

A user also wrote, "He’s just a terrible speaker. He’s sing-songy, monotonous, thin-voiced, at times even effeminate" while one commented, "At least he said VP Harris’ name correctly. He’ll be mad at himself for doing that. Gotta mispronounce everything."

A person also added, "Jihad? So #DementiaDon is implying @KamalaHarris is Muslim. How long can this #POS go?"
