WASHINGTON, DC: Former President Donald Trump revealed his biggest mistake during his presidency while speaking on 'The Joe Rogan Experience' podcast, stating that it was choosing "bad people" to serve in his administration.

In a candid three-hour interview, Trump discussed his cabinet appointments and reflected on his decision-making process.

Trump reflects on his cabinet choices, admits biggest mistake was selecting 'bad people'

When asked by Joe Rogan if he felt he made "bad choices," Trump pointed to the overall success of his presidency and his Supreme Court nominations before acknowledging that his one major error was in selecting officials.

“The one mistake... I will say it always comes back to the same answer, the biggest mistake I made...I picked some people that I shouldn't have picked,” Trump admitted.

Rogan probed further, asking if Trump was referring to "neocons," to which Trump confirmed, saying, “Yeah, neocons, or bad people, or disloyal people.” He specifically called out John Kelly, his longest-serving White House chief of staff, and John Bolton, his former national security adviser. Both have since criticized Trump publicly.

Trump denies claims of admiring Hitler, criticizes former aides during wide-ranging podcast

Recently, John Kelly was reported to have witnessed Trump expressing admiration for Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler and praising "Hitler's generals," a claim Trump denied. In response, he labeled Kelly as a "totally degenerate" suffering from "Trump Derangement Syndrome."

During the podcast, Trump portrayed Kelly as a "bully," stating, "A bully but a weak person... He's bad... Bolton was an idiot." The conversation also touched on various topics, including the role of police in America, the US withdrawal from Afghanistan, and an assassination attempt on Trump.

While Trump's interview attracted significant attention, Harris campaign spokesperson Ian Sams stated in an MSNBC appearance that an interview with Joe Rogan would not be feasible at this time due to the campaign's scheduling conflicts.

On the same day Trump spoke to Rogan, the vice president held a record-breaking rally in Texas. Recently, she has also been featured on the podcasts 'Call Her Daddy' and 'All the Smoke', as well as on radio shows hosted by Howard Stern and Charlamagne tha God.

Rogan's podcast boasts around 14.5 million listeners per episode, primarily appealing to a male audience, a demographic that Harris is reportedly struggling to connect with as Election Day approaches.

Social media users react to Trump's admission of mistakes in cabinet selections

Social media users had a field day reacting to Trump’s admission about his cabinet choices.

One user wrote, "Trump said that his biggest mistake during his time in the White House was choosing "bad people" to serve under him." So very typical of Donald Trump it was almost predictable. That is Donald Trump's mantra - Blame Others."

Another user commented, "That mean Mr General Kelly that I picked... Why won't my Generals that are so tough, defend my bone spurs?"

Another replied, "They were bad people yet you still hired them! Right! Most of them have defected against you by now! LOL!"

One added, "He has no idea who neocons are."

"Grandapa says, Mister Magoo is not to be trusted." Thunderheart," said one user.

"It's hard to believe this clown was ever President, doubly hard to believe he is now neck and neck for the Presidency again. Just mind boggling," said another user.
