WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trump took to the social media platform, Truth Social, on Sunday, January 11, as he urged Cuba to strike a deal with America after the Trump administration-led takeover of Venezuela and the capture of President Nicolas Maduro.

During his post, he stated that there would be no more oil or money going to Cuba and strongly suggested that its leaders should make a deal before it was too late to reconsider.

US strike ends Cuba's role in Venezuela's security

During one of his latest Truth Social posts, President Donald Trump stated that for many years, Cuba had been living on large amounts of oil and money from Venezuela.

He added that Cuba had provided the latter with security services for the last two dictators, but didn’t need to do so anymore since the US military strike on January 3.

“Most of those Cubans are dead from last week's USA attack, and Venezuela doesn’t need protection anymore from thugs and extortionists who held them hostage for so many years,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

The president also stated that Venezuela had the US to protect the Venezuelan people with the help of the most powerful military forces in the world.

“THERE WILL BE NO MORE OIL OR MONEY GOING TO CUBA - ZERO,” Trump added.

Trump believes Cuba is ready to fall

Soon after attacking Venezuela and capturing Nicolas Maduro, the Trump administration held a press conference to share insights about what went down.

At the time, reporters asked Trump whether he had similar plans for other countries, such as Cuba.

Trump responded that Cuba didn’t have the money to be a threat to America after the US strike on Venezuela.

“Cuba looks like it’s ready to fall,” he said.

The president added that he didn’t know how they would “hold out” considering they no longer had any income.

“They got all of their income from Venezuela, from the Venezuelan oil,” he added.

Trump noted that Cuba no longer had access to the same and once again asserted that the country was ready to fall. He also mentioned that many great Cuban Americans would be happy to hear about the same.

However, when asked if the US had plans to take action against the country, Donald Trump termed it unnecessary because he felt it was “going down” already.
