WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trump threatened to "throw out" secretaries who were "unhappy" with tech billionaire Elon Musk leading the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), in the first Cabinet meeting of his second term on Wednesday, February 26, reported the Daily Mail.

The clip of the moment went viral across social media and shows those present laughing at Trump's statement. However, it caused much concern among netizens as the 78-year-old commander-in-chief's behavior hinted at where his loyalties lay.

Elon Musk was present during Wednesday's cabinet meeting, where the POTUS praised his work in cracking down on federal expenses. DOGE claims to have saved $65 million from taxpayers by cutting down on federal jobs and programs.

Some cabinet members had reportedly been concerned with Musk coming after employees in their department. When the subject was raised by a reporter in the meeting, Trump disputed it saying, "Let the Cabinet speak for a second."

"Anybody unhappy with Elon? If you are, we'll throw them out of here. Anybody unhappy?" he asked.

Many members of the Cabinet, such as Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Attorney General Pam Bondi began to shake their heads and then broke into applause for Musk.

"They have a lot of respect for Elon," continued the president. "Some disagree a little bit but for the most part I think everyone is not only happy, they're thrilled."

Later, Musk returned the favor by calling the Trump cabinet the "best Cabinet ever, literally."

"I do not give false praise. This is an incredible group of people. I don't think such a talented team has ever been assembled. It is literally the best Cabinet the country has ever had and I think the country should be appreciative of people in this room," he added.
