INDIANA, PENNSYLVANIA: Former President and GOP nominee Donald Trump shared his plan to work "the french fry job" at a McDonald's in an attempt to mock Democratic nominee Kamala Harris' claim of having a job at the fast food chain, while addressing a rally in Pennsylvania on Monday, September 23.

According to The Daily Beast, the Harris campaign stated that the vice president had worked at a Golden Arches franchise in Alameda, California while studying at Howard University. The claim has been strongly contested by the Trump campaign, who accused her of faking street creds.

Donald Trump mocks Kamala Harris' experience at McDonald's

Trump brought up Harris' claim of working in the fast food chain at the rally and mimicked her complaining about the job.

"'I worked at McDonald's over the french fries, it was so hot,'" he mocked, doing an impression of Harris. "I think I'm going to go to a McDonald's next week someplace... I'm going to go to a McDonald's and I'm going to work the french fry job for about half an hour. I want to see how it is."

An early presidential campaign advertisement had wrongly asserted that Harris' job at McDonald's helped her pay through college. Harris later clarified that it was not the case and that the gig helped her earn more spending money.

However, Trump did not care about the specifics, as he continued to deride Harris saying, "She said she worked and she grew up in terrible conditions - she worked at a McDonald's it was such... But she never worked there!"

Trump blamed "fake news reports" for never supporting his claim, falsely adding that Harris made McDonald's a "big part of her resume" even though the company did not know who she was.

Internet says Trump can replace the McDonald's clown

Netizens reacting to Trump's statement on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) ridiculed the former president over his promise. The following tweets demonstrate the predominant takes.

"Instead of working the fryer Donald, why don’t you give Ronald McDonald a break and go as yourself, a f**king clown," wrote a user.

"Just what every McDonald's manager pines for: Another employee who refuses to follow directions," jibed another.

"Just give me 30 minutes at the french fries station," a third shared along with an AI image of Trump stuffing fries while wearing a McDonald's employee vest.

"He just wants to try and get free food," quipped a fourth.

"He does know eating there isn't the same as working there, right?" chided a fifth user.

Another user shared AI images of Trump as the McDonald's clown.
