WASHINGTON, DC: Donald Trump sparked confusion after posting a bizarre new video on X (formerly Twitter) that distorts the appearance of Democratic Senator Adam Schiff.

The clip, which elongates Schiff’s neck, quickly racked up millions of views and appears to reference Trump’s earlier insults about the California lawmaker.

Trump revives insults about Adam Schiff's neck and head with viral video

The video, shared on the social media platform on Thursday, September 4, shows Adam Schiff speaking during a recent appearance on NBC’s 'Meet the Press'. In the original clip, Schiff said that “anyone who stands up to the President, anyone who criticizes the President” has the “full force of the Federal Government brought down on them.”

In Trump’s edited version, Schiff’s neck is stretched unnaturally. The video has been viewed more than 3.5 million times within hours of being posted.

The edit appears to nod back to Trump’s remarks at the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) dinner in April.

At the time, Trump mocked Schiff, saying: “Adam Schifty Schiff. Can you believe this guy? He’s got the smallest neck I’ve ever seen. And the biggest head. We call him watermelon head. How can that big fat face stand on a neck that looked like this finger? … How we can allow people like that to run in office is a shame.”

Supporters call Trump ‘master of trolling’

Donald Trump’s jab at Adam Schiff fueled laughter among supporters online, with many dubbing the POTUS the “master of trolling.”

One wrote, “Greatest video ever of pencil neck, Adam bullSchiff,” and another said, “Oh my gosh, most hilarious President of all time right here. You can say a lot of things about Trump, but boy… you cannot say he isn’t funny haha.”

A person said, “Donald Trump raised the bar,” while someone else quipped, “His neck grows every time he lies?”

“The master of trolling!” an individual declared.

Adam Schiff dismisses Trump's nicknames

Responding to the wave of unusual nicknames, Adam Schiff addressed Donald Trump’s remarks during an interview on 'The David Pakman Show' podcast. “He went from calling me a pencil neck to a watermelon head, and let me just say a watermelon head on a pencil neck is a pretty tough balancing act,” Schiff said.

He continued, “My predominant thought on the various nicknames was that I thought he was better at it than that. The whole cardinal rule of nicknames is that you pick one and you stick to it. And he’s had about eight of them for me over the years.”

The Schiff clip is part of a broader trend of offbeat content Trump has posted online. In February, just over six weeks after taking office, he released an AI-generated video portraying Gaza as a desert paradise comparable to Dubai.

The clip included golden statues of Trump, a glittering “Trump Gaza” resort, and even showed him sunbathing with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. It depicted scenes of destruction in Gaza transforming into buildings topped with “TRUMP GAZA.”
