Online reactions highlight visible changes in Trump’s appearance

Social media users quickly reacted to the photographs, comparing them with earlier appearances of Trump where similar discoloration had been noted.

Journalist Aaron Rupar shared close-up images on X, pointing out that while Trump’s right hand had drawn attention in the past, recent photos appeared to show changes on his left hand as well.

Several users weighed in with speculation, with some attributing the marks to possible bruising or medical procedures, while others suggested cosmetic explanations.

The widespread circulation of the images added to renewed scrutiny of Trump’s physical condition.

Past explanations and White House response on Trump’s health and hand discoloration

Trump and his administration have previously addressed concerns regarding visible marks on his hands. The president has said he takes aspirin, while his physician has noted that such medication can increase the likelihood of bruising.

The White House has also confirmed that Trump suffers from chronic venous insufficiency (CVI), a condition in which veins struggle to return blood to the heart efficiently, often leading to swelling or discoloration.

Until now, most visible signs had reportedly been observed on one hand, but recent images appear to show similar discoloration on both. The timing has drawn additional attention as reports also noted that Trump skipped a recent scheduled health checkup at Walter Reed.
