TALLAHASSEE, FLORIDA: Tucker Carlson, who drew flack after his recent interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin, especially from top Biden administration officials, has set off a new firestorm.

While reflecting on the controversial interview, the former Fox News host dubbed some US leaders "lunatics and poisonous morons" and accused them of needlessly vilifying Russia.

Characterizing Putin as "wounded" by Western rejection, Carlson warned that weakening the Russian leader could dangerously destabilize Russia's nuclear arsenal.

Tucker Carlson says Vladimir Putin expected Russia to have friendly relations with US

After conducting a rare interview with Putin, Carlson reflected, "Putin doesn’t do a lot of interviews, he’s not good at explaining himself. He is smart but doesn’t have to explain himself. He didn’t lay out his case very coherently. He is very wounded by the rejection of the West. Moscow is a very European city... but the West rejected Russia."

The journalist added, "He didn’t have a coherent theory why he is hated by the West. Russia is not an expansionist power because the ideologues that run the State Department want to make him like Hitler or Imperialist Japan."

"Russia's the biggest land mass in the world and they have 80 provinces. They have more than enough natural resources. The idea they want to take over Poland is (preposterous). They want secure borders and there's no evidence they want to roll into Vienna," asserted Carlson.

According to the ex-Fox News host, Putin "is angry because he thought we (the US and Russia) were going to be friends."

Tucker Carlson claims Biden officials seek 'weak' leadership in Russia

Carlson went on to directly criticize the Biden administration's stance towards Russia, accusing officials of deliberately destabilizing the nuclear power.

He claimed, "They want a weak leadership in Russia. Why would you want that? A weak central government in a country with the world's biggest nuclear stockpile is insane, especially a country as large and potentially fractious, with so many religions and 20% Muslim population."

"If you desire that, and we are run by nutcases, the president and that poisonous moron Victoria Nuland," snarled Carlson.

Internet lauds Tucker Carlson's explosive retort and unapologetic stance

Soon after Carlson's slamming remarks toward US officials came to light, netizens seemed to agree with the contentious journalist and his stance on Russia.

One stated, "Tucker is doing actual journalism, and the legacy media hates it. They want everyone to fall in line and not question their narratives."

Another noted, "Wondering how bold and Fearless Tucker Carlson has become. No one was expecting this outcome from him when he got fired. He’s now the world-friendly journalist."

A person opined, "Leaving Fox was the best thing to happen to him," and someone else added, "Tucker makes so much sense."

"We are actually run by incompetence, This isn’t a conspiracy, but rather people who have no idea what they are doing and being corrupted. We need to start making politicians accountable before we turn into," opined one more.

Another person shared, "Tucker is absolutely correct. Carlson has done more for world peace with that interview than any of the liberals currently going after him have done in the last three years. The US officials who have colluded to push disinformation on the citizens of the United States in an attempt to ensure perpetual wars need to be charged."
