WASHINGTON, DC: Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson accused former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg of being a "fake gay guy" and suggested the former mayor was using his identity to get a leg up in the Democratic Party.

In a recent episode of 'The Tucker Carlson Show', Carlson had a candid conversation with Michael Knowles that veered into a provocative discussion about Buttigieg’s authenticity as a gay man.

Tucker Carlson reveals his idea to figure out Pete Buttigieg’s sexuality

Tucker Carlson told Michael Knowles during the show, "My gay producer was always like ‘he’s not gay.’ He was with a girl like 20 minutes ago, and like he wants to be the Democratic nominee, it’s like 'Time for a gay guy!'"

Interestingly, Knowles also said that he has a friend who believes Buttigieg is "a fake gay."

Knowles said of Buttigieg, "It’s playing the long game." The 43-year-old has been married to Chasten Buttigieg since 2018 and ran in the Democratic presidential primary in 2020.

Carlson and Knowles called Buttigieg a consummate "careerist" whose rapid rise up the Democratic ranks seemed suspiciously smooth.

Moreover, Carlson revealed to Knowles that he had an idea to figure out if Buttigieg’s sexuality was a sham.

He said, "I’ve always wanted to interview him. He’s never agreed to interview, but I’m gonna ask him, like some very specific questions about gay sex and see if he can even answer. I doubt he even knows!"

Buttigieg, the former mayor of South Bend, Indiana, publicly came out as gay in June 2015.

His announcement was met with widespread support and marked a significant moment in his political career. He married his husband in June 2018, three years after the revelation.

The couple has been vocal about their experiences as a same-sex couple and has been active in advocating for LGBTQ+ rights.

Pete and Chasten Buttigieg announced the adoption of their twins, Penelope Rose and Joseph August, in August 2021.

A user wrote on X, "Maybe he speaks from experience here, so he’s well-positioned to validate?" while one added, "Carlson is a real loser."

A person stated, "How would Tucker know these answers lol," while someone else mentioned, "Ok, now I want to know what Tucker thinks he knows about gay sex that Pete doesn't...and how he came to know it."
