FRANKLIN, TENNESSEE: Political commentator Tucker Carlson went scorched earth on the Republican Party, calling the GOP "useless" and saying he hates them too much "because they’re such betrayers."

Carlson joined fellow popular podcaster Shawn Ryan on 'The Shawn Ryan Show' which aired on Tuesday, November 25. He discussed several issues, from his spiritual warfare to his highly controversial sit-down with Nick Fuentes.

Tucker Carlson discusses strip malls while slamming GOP

During the show, Tucker Carlson's conversation turned to strip malls. He has long pushed for more classical architectural aesthetics and said during the show, "Well, it’s always developers. Can I just say a word about that? Is there anyone who makes your life worse than a developer? For a smaller benefit to a tinier group of people, who actually benefits from more Dollar Stores?"

Meanwhile, Shawn Ryan replied, "The people who built the dollar stores", and Carlson added, "That’s who benefits. I don’t know why they get to wreck our landscape and destroy our country, build shitty buildings, make everything ugly, desecrate God’s creation, and no one says anything about it."

He further said, "On the Republican Party, which is almost to the point where it’s just useless, and I’m going to have to oppose it because I hate them too much, but because they’re such betrayers. But anyway, in the Republican Party, it’s like, you’re a socialist? Are you for [Zohran] Mamdani?"

"No, not really a socialist. Just I don’t want any more dollar stores. I don’t want high-density housing in my neighborhood," Carlson continued.

He further fumed and added, "I don’t want any more f*****g strip malls that nobody goes to, no more karate studios and vape shops. Like, how about no? ‘Ohh, socialist! You don’t believe in the free market.’ Because you bribed a f*****g county commissioner to build more garbage."

The host then asked Carlson, "What do you think the Republican Party is going to turn into after this?"

"I don’t know. I mean, of course, it’s the party in power right now. It’s an amazing amount of power and amount of money, and there’s a lot at stake," Carlson replied.

Mike Johnson slams Tucker Carlson over Nick Fuentes interview

House Speaker Mike Johnson claimed that he confronted Tucker Carlson for his controversial interview with Nick Fuentes, telling the political commentator that giving a platform to him was a "big mistake".

During an interview with The Hill's Emily Brooks on November 22, Johnson talked about his private conversation with Carlson, highlighting a growing rift within the conservative movement over where to draw the line between free speech and responsible broadcasting.

Though Johnson reportedly defended the First Amendment, he argued that conservatives have a moral obligation not to "amplify" voices that spew "vile" hatred. He did not mince words while describing his reaction to the Carlson-Fuentes sit-down.

"I spoke briefly with Tucker about that, and I think it’s a responsibility. He has a lot of listeners, and I think giving Nick Fuentes that platform is a big mistake," the House Speaker said.

Johnson claimed that there was no meeting of the minds when asked how the conservative pundit took the criticism.

He said, "Well, obviously, I’m not sure if he agreed with me on that. But we have different views on Israel, and, you know, we’ve talked about that."
