'Twilight' actor Taylor Lautner and wife Tay welcome first child, reveal baby girl's name
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'Twilight' actor Taylor Lautner is a father. The 34-year-old actor shared the happy news on his social media account.
On Wednesday, September 23, Lautner and his wife, Tay Lautner, announced in a joint Instagram post that they had welcomed their first child together, a baby girl named Lennon Taylor.
They shared a photo of their daughter but did not reveal her face. Congratulations have been pouring into the comments section since the actor and his wife shared the happy news.

Along with sharing a photo of their daughter, the actor and his wife also revealed her nickname, full name, and date of birth.
The couple affectionately calls their baby girl “Lenny.” In the photo, she is seen wearing a pink onesie and lying beside a needlepoint featuring her full name, which was stitched beneath an image of a teddy bear holding a pink balloon.
“One week loving our sweet little Lenny. Lennon Taylor Lautner. 9.16.2026,” the couple wrote in the caption. Soon after the couple announced the arrival of their daughter, Lautner's 'Twilight' co-star Nikki Reed congratulated the new parents.
She commented, “Oh, be still my heart. Congratulations to you both, I’m so so happy for you. Baby Lenny, Auntie Nik is ready to give you all the snuggles.” Patrick Schwarzenegger also joined in the celebrations, leaving five red heart emojis in the comments.
The couple had already celebrated their growing family with a baby shower on August 19. They later shared a series of fun and goofy photos from the celebration on Instagram, giving fans a glimpse into the special occasion.
Taylor Lautner and Tay’s pregnancy journey
Lautner and his wife, Tay, announced that they were expecting their first child earlier this year. The couple first shared the pregnancy news on March 26.
They also gave fans a glimpse into their journey by sharing photos from their maternity shoot, along with a sonogram image.
The actor and his wife, whose maiden name is Taylor Dome, have been together since 2018.
They got engaged in 2021 and tied the knot in November 2022. Throughout the pregnancy, the couple kept their fans updated with glimpses of their journey into parenthood.
In May, Tay opened up about some of the challenges she experienced during her pregnancy on her podcast, 'The Squeeze'.
“I've never really struggled with comparison, but I've definitely found myself comparing my pregnant body to other pregnant women, especially the women that are weeks away from giving birth and are still all skinny and fit,” Tay said.
