WASHINGTON, DC: First Lady Jill Biden was trolled for a "bizarre" White House Christmas video that showed a holiday-decorated White House in her official X account @FLOTUS on December 14.

She captioned the video, "A bit of magic, wonder, and joy brought to you by the talented tappers of Dorrance Dance, performing their playful interpretation of The Nutcracker Suite. Enjoy!"

'Magic, Wonder, and Joy' is Biden's theme for the 2023  holiday decor, which she hoped will inspire others to embrace their inner child.

"Each room and design element throughout the White House holiday display encourages visitors to embrace their inner child, indulge their senses, and delight in the "Magic, Wonder, and Joy" of the holidays," said the White House statement released on November 27 announcing the Holiday theme.

What is in the White House Christmas video?

The video starts with a flamboyant dancer dressed up in bright costumes performing tappers of Dorrance in Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky's classic 'The Nutcracker'.

The video moves to the decorated Christmas tree, where dancers in costumes perform while moving through different rooms of the President's residence, continuously tapping. The walls of the rooms were decorated with colorful hangings and retro-style artificial pillars. Many Christmas trees were decorated in a red and white theme.

Internet says the video is 'embarrassing' and 'horrible'

Netizens are baffled after watching the strange Christmas video from the White House. And social media users did not receive the not-so-Christmassy video well.

While highlighting examples of contributions by Asian Americans to U.S. culture and history, President Joe Biden also said the country must push back again anti-Asian bias, xenophobia and harassment, which has spiked during the COVID-19 pandemic. Another user said, "You are so strange. Bizarre. Freaky."

"Delete this it’s horrible," another remarked.

A user added, "The second hand embarrassment is off the charts."

"This is something of nightmares," said one user.

Another added, "While I usually appreciate dance in all forms, this is a travesty. The Nutcracker Suite deserves better."

"No spirit of Christmas there, you manage to ruin and stain everything," said another user.
