WASHINGTON, DC: Vice President JD Vance has complained about President Donald Trump’s praise for Senator Jon Husted and other male colleagues.

Vance said he is “jealous” that Trump has repeatedly praised other male politicians’ appearances and not his own.

During his appearance at a Fox News town hall on Thursday, October 29, Vance was asked by host Jesse Watters why the president continues to compliment Husted’s backside. Vance laughed it off, saying Trump is a comedian.

“Well, first of all, I’m jealous. The president’s never said that about me,” Vance said. “I've got to get back in the gym maybe and draw that particular piece of praise.”

Notably, throughout his October campaign rally blitz, President Trump has repeatedly praised GOP lawmakers’ and candidates’ physiques, including Sens Tim Sheehy (Mont) and Bill Hagerty (Tenn).

However, Trump’s shout-out for Husted has received extraordinary focus.

“I made the mistake of saying that I started off by studying his a**,” Trump said at a recent rally in Texas.

“His a** is like, it’s like a pile of muscle,” the president said in North Carolina.

Vance said Trump’s playful compliments are one of his favorite things about the president.

“The president, as you know, is at heart a comedian, and he loves to get up there and shake things up a little bit,” Vance said. “I just think it’s a good example of a politician who doesn’t take himself so seriously.”

Vance also used his town hall appearance for political hits and to focus on Husted as a candidate, calling the Ohio Republican’s opponent, former Sen Sherrod Brown (D), a “lunatic.”

“Jon Husted, in addition to his very nice body, is more importantly going to make a much better senator for the people of the United States of America than the lunatic he’s running against,” Vance said.

Not all of Trump’s endorsees have received the praise that Husted has been showered with.

For example, during his midterm convention in Dallas, Trump said Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, the GOP Senate nominee, “may not be the best-looking guy I’ve ever seen.”

Watters also brought up the Texas Senate candidate’s rear end while speaking to Vance. The vice president responded, “I’m sure Paxton’s doing great.”

The midterm campaign is in the final stretch, with several election forecasters predicting an edge for Democrats, reportedly caused by Trump’s declining approval rating and rising living costs, along with multiple other policy issues.
