LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Vanity Fair's 2024 Oscar Party has become the subject of online chatter as netizens compared the event's red and yellow backdrops to the iconic color theme of McDonald's

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the afterparty was graced by notable attendees like Kendall Jenner, Kim Kardashian, Sofia Vergara, and Amazon's Jeff Bezos with his fiancee Lauren Sanchez.

In contrast to previous years' more subdued color palettes, such as the 2023 blue-and-silver combination, this time Vanity Fair opted for bold and attention-grabbing colors.

The ongoing criticism about the red and yellow backdrop echoes a similar incident from the 2023 Emmy Awards in January when Chrissy Teigen took to Instagram Story to beg "award shows to have better looking step and repeats."

Many netizens also complained that the large lettering of "Emmys" and "FOX" clashed with the stars' outfits.

It appears that the aesthetics of high-profile events are increasingly coming under scrutiny, with attendees and online audiences alike expressing their opinions on everything from color choices to design elements.
