Sofia Vergara feels ‘jealous’ over Joe Manganiello’s GF Caitlin O’Connor snuggling up to former couple’s pet dog Bubbles

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello parted ways in July 2023, but they have remained friendly ever since.

However, an insider exclusively told In Touch that the 'Modern Family' alum is envious of Joe's 34-year-old new girlfriend, Caitlin O'Connor, and that this jealousy is not connected to the dashing 'Magic Mike' actor.

Instead, 51-year-old Sofia is upset that Caitlin has been cuddling with the former couple's dog, Bubbles. The 47-year-old actor received custody of the 10-year-old Chihuahua-Pomeranian mix from the 'Griselda' star as part of their divorce, per OK! Magazine.

Speaking to the media outlet, an insider said, "Sofia’s heard how well Caitlin gets on with Bubbles and she’s jealous. She doesn’t like the notion of Caitlin cuddling up with her dog and fussing over her, it makes her feel sick."

Bubbles has deceived her fur mommy on previous occasions. In 2012, Sofia quipped to 'The Tonight Show' host Jimmy Fallon saying, "She was supposed to be my dog. She arrived to the house and I don’t know, she thought she was for Joe and that’s all she wanted!"

Sofia's jealousy of Bubbles sparked after Joe moved in with the 34-year-old actress he began dating in September 2023. Joe hoped to have children with Sofia while she was not ready. This was the main reason he split up with the 'Modern Family' alum.

The couple, who called it quits in July 2023, had no idea how their romance would end. Another source revealed, "Sofia didn’t want a divorce, it broke her heart, but she says that’s life."

Regarding the brunette beauty, the insider said, "She’s done her best to move on and is bouncing back. Friends say she seems happier than ever, and the secret is her positive and upbeat attitude."

As previously reported by OK! Magazine, the 'Magic Mike' alum revealed a glimpse of his Valentine's Day celebrations on Instagram on February 18, marking the official start of his relationship with his new girlfriend.

'True Blood' Joe made significant progress in his relationship with girlfriend Caitlin when he earlier gave the 34-year-old permission to cuddle his cherished Bubbles, who he co-owned with his 51-year-old ex-wife Sofia.

With the storm flooding Los Angeles, they were dressed for the weather and went for a stroll, per Daily Mail. The pair, who met at the closing party for her Los Angeles Lakers-focused series 'Winning Time,' has been dating for a few months.

Joe has reportedly moved on from his seven-year marriage to Sofia after spitting, allegedly because the 'Modern Family' alum was not in agreement with his decision to have children.

"My marriage broke up because my husband was younger; he wanted to have kids and I didn’t want to be an old mom," Sofia stated in an interview with Spanish-language newspaper El Pais.

She said at the time, "I had a son at 19, who is now 32, and I’m ready to be a grandmother, not a mother. So, if love comes along, he has to come with [his own] children," mentioning her son Manolo from her first marriage to Joe Gonzalez.
