Joe Manganiello, 47, claimed "irreconcilable differences" in his divorce filing.
According to court records obtained by TMZ, the former "It" couple have opted for an amicable divorce settlement, which let Joe and Sofia retain the assets they each acquired individually during their time together.
According to the court records, Joe and Sofia chose not to submit a spousal report. Since the couple never had children, there was also no child support due, which was a contributing factor in their divorce.
Since Sofia and Joe did not have children together, custody is another non-issue.
The 'True Blood' star desired to have children, but his stunning Colombian former wife was unwilling to begin anew since she already had a 32-year-old son named Manolo, with ex-husband Joe Gonzalez.
Following their July 2023 split announcement, the ex-lovers did not waste any time clearing up the divorce-related loose ends.
They released a joint statement on July 17 that read: "We have made the difficult decision to divorce. As two people that love and care for one another very much, we politely ask for respect of our privacy at this time as we navigate this new phase of our lives."
The quick divorce of Sofia and Joe shows they are prepared to move on with their lives and new relationships.
Following their meeting at an "unofficial" after-party for HBO's 'Winning Time' in November 2023, the 'Magic Mike' actor has been dating actress Caitlin O'Connor.
Sofia has been dating orthopedic surgeon Dr Justin Saliman since October 2023.
Sofia Vergara earlier opened up about why her marriage to Joe Manganiello came to an end
In January, the 'Modern Family' actress admitted that she had a falling out with her ex-husband Joe over having children.
In an interview with the Spanish newspaper El Pais, Sofia stated: "My marriage broke up because my husband was younger; he wanted to have kids and I didn't want to be an old mum," confirming earlier claims that their marital discord stemmed from their desire to expand their family, per Page Six.
She added at the time: "I feel it's not fair to the baby. I respect whoever does it, but that's not for me."
Rather than having more children of her own, the actress declared that she is "ready to be a grandmother". Sofia added that she would only go out with someone in the future who "had his own children".
After Manolo becomes a father, Sofia quipped, he can "bring the baby to me for a while and then I'll give it back to him and go on with my life".
Sofia is still pursuing love. During her January interview on 'Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen,' she shared her one rule for finding a partner again.
"They can’t be younger than 50. I’m 51," Sofia affirmed. She did, however, declare that she would disregard the rule and date a 49-year-old.
Sofia had previously married Joe Gonzalez, with whom she had a son named Manolo. She was engaged to businessperson Nick Loeb till early 2014.
It was on Christmas Day 2014 when Joe proposed to her, months after they had first met at the White House Correspondents Dinner.
