Fugees Collaborator John Forté Dies at 50

John Forté, a Grammy-nominated recording artist and key collaborator on The Fugees’ landmark album The Score, has died at the age of 50. Forté contributed to tracks like Family Business and Cowboys and later worked closely with Wyclef Jean on solo projects. His career was interrupted by a high-profile conviction in 2000, though his sentence was later commuted. After his release, he returned to music and family life on Martha’s Vineyard. He is survived by his wife and two children.
