Ohio bicycle shop offers refuge to African asylum seekers

A few donated bicycles turned into something much bigger in Lockland, Ohio. When hundreds of West African newcomers arrived, local volunteers offered food, clothing and opportunities to help. A bike-shop owner then began collecting old bicycles and teaching people to repair them in exchange for the bikes. Soon, the shop became a place where newcomers could find transportation, volunteer, meet neighbors and get help navigating paperwork.
