Locals Topple Khamenei Statue as Celebrations Erupt in Iran
A crowd was seen toppling a statue of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei in the southern Iranian city of Galleh Dar early on Sunday, March 1, amid reports that the Khamenei had been killed in a joint US-Israeli assault on the country. Footage circulating online shows a large crowd erupting in celebration as the statue is brought down. Multiple fires could be seen burning in the streets. According to a post of the video on social media an individual can be heard shouting, “Am I dreaming? Hello new world!”
