NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Vivek Ramaswamy sparked a debate on Monday, January 29, with his suggestion that the Super Bowl might be manipulated to enhance the popularity of pop star Taylor Swift.

This, he claims, is in anticipation of her planned endorsement of President Joe Biden in the upcoming fall presidential election.

His remarks came in the wake of the Kansas City Chiefs clinching their place in the 2024 Super Bowl.

The team's tight end, Travis Kelce made headlines by sharing a now-viral kiss with his girlfriend, Swift, in celebration.

The ex-Republican presidential candidate proposed an outlandish theory suggesting that an unknown force might be manipulating the outcome of the big game in favor of the Kansas City Chiefs, due to the team's Pro Bowl tight end, Kelce, dating the pop music sensation.

"I wonder who's going to win the Super Bowl next month," Ramaswamy wrote on X. "And I wonder if there's a major presidential endorsement coming from an artificially culturally propped-up couple this fall."

Ramaswamy, known for his controversial views such as dismissing climate change as a hoax and describing the events of January 6 as a peaceful protest, reportedly conceded that his latest theory might be a stretch, per Daily News.

"Just some wild speculation over here, let's see how it ages over the next eight months," he noted.

The White House Press Secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre, dismissed the claim as absurd, but did acknowledge that some members of her communications team are fans of Swift's music.

"In the press office shop, there are a lot of Swifties … if you will, fans of Taylor Swift," Jean-Pierre said to CNN. "And so I’m just going to leave it there."
