NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Republican Presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy justified his choice to cease television advertising in Iowa and New Hampshire on 'The Ingraham Angle'.

Ramaswamy said that he relies on "an actual IQ" to guide his campaign.

This came after the reports indicated that his campaign allocated a mere $6,000 for advertising during the week of December 18, in stark contrast to former Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley, who reportedly spent $1 million.

When questioned about this decision by guest host Pete Hegseth, Ramaswamy asserted, "I understand when something actually makes sense and when it doesn’t."

Following this news, Ramaswamy took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share his conversation with Hegseth.

Several X users supported Ramaswamy’s statements and lauded his decision.

Vivek Ramaswamy says he’s ‘using an actual IQ’ for his campaign

Vivek Ramaswamy wrote on X, “It’s hilarious that the MSM had a conniption at our switching to ad spending away from…the MSM. Funny how that works.”

This came following his decision to stop advertising on TV in Iowa and New Hampshire.

Hegseth continued the segment adding, “The left wing media hyperventilating, frothing at the idea of Vivek’s demise.”

Ramaswamy then joined Hegseth and the host asked him, “So let’s get this cleared up right out the gate, Vivek. Does the liberal media have a reason to be this excited?”

Ramaswamy responded, “No they don’t. Sorry to disappoint them. Actually, I’m not sorry to disappoint them. I’m thrilled to disappoint them. We’re going to this to the very end, I suspect we will be successful.”

He continued, “When advertising rates are spiking for everybody else, you got $200 million close to that been spent by the campaigns and their Super PAC fund TV ads, that’s not the place to spend it.”

Ramaswamy said, “Instead, we are going grassroots bottom up. I have done the full Grassley, more stops in Iowa than many of the other candidates combined. We are doubling and tripling down on spending in much more targeted way that’s going to deliver – you mark my words on this – a surprise at the Iowa caucus on January 15th.”

He further said, “I’m running this campaign in the same way that I would run a company, with an actual IQ and an actual brain, not taken for a ride by political consultants, and I think that’s going to lead us to ultimate success here.”

“I love where we’re sitting right now, Pete, where the mainstream media has got expectations low, hanging me in fourth place. I think if you take where the mainstream media’s polling media is having me in the high single digits in Iowa. We are going to shatter that. I’m going to leave the rest to January 15th,” Ramaswamy concluded.

Ramaswamy also took aim at fellow Republican candidates, particularly singling out DeSantis, for their refusal to withdraw from the Colorado primary.

This criticism stemmed from the state's supreme court decision, which, in a 4-3 ruling, disqualified Donald Trump from being included on the 2024 Republican primary election ballot.

Internet calls Vivek Ramaswamy ‘Tesla of presidential candidates’

Many X users responded positively to Vivek Ramaswamy’s remarks on his decision to stop advertising on TV in Iowa and New Hampshire.

One person wrote, “Vivek is the Tesla of presidential candidates, no advertising needed,” and another added, “I am going to contribute to Vivek's campaign for the same reason that I maxed out for Ron Paul . . . he's the best candidate in the race.”

An X user lauded Ramaswamy saying, “You've earned my primary vote Mr Ramaswamy. Keep it up!” and another said, “Love ya, mean it... You're not beating Trump in the caucus.”

A person simply praised the GOP candidate, “Vivek, you are literally freaking them out. If it wasn't Trump, my vote would go to you. You have amazed many people I think. Myself included. Any way you slice it, you're by far the smartest candidate.”

One more X user supported Ramaswamy’s decision, “I love his approach. Much more aligned with the younger generation. The older voters are going to have to realize that the younger generation is the new steward of the country.  #VivekRamaswamy says he's 'a fresh set of legs.'”
