During the interview with co-host Ainsley Earhardt, Melania Trump said, "I ran to the TV, rewound it, and watched it," referring to the July assassination attempt that was captured live during a rally in Pennsylvania.

She added, "I didn't really see [it] live, but maybe, you know, three minutes, a few minutes later. But when I saw it, I, you know, it was only... Nobody really knew yet."

She continued, "Because when you see him on the floor, and you don't know, you don't know what really happened."

The Trump assassination attempt task force will hold its first public hearing on Thursday, September 26, to outline the security failures that contributed to the near assassination of a former president and current presidential candidate, according to the outlet.
