During the interview with co-host Ainsley Earhardt, Melania Trump said, "I ran to the TV, rewound it, and watched it," referring to the July assassination attempt that was captured live during a rally in Pennsylvania.

She added, "I didn't really see [it] live, but maybe, you know, three minutes, a few minutes later. But when I saw it, I, you know, it was only... Nobody really knew yet."

She continued, "Because when you see him on the floor, and you don't know, you don't know what really happened."

Melania Trump says we 'need to uncover truth' about Trump's assassination attempt

In a video posted on X on September 10, Melania Trump called for more answers following the assassination attempt on her husband. She questioned, "I can't help but wonder, why didn't law enforcement officials arrest the shooter before the speech?"

She added, "There is definitely more to the story, and we need to uncover the truth."

The Trump assassination attempt task force will hold its first public hearing on Thursday, September 26, to outline the security failures that contributed to the near assassination of a former president and current presidential candidate, according to the outlet.
