MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN: Minnesota Governor and Democratic nominee for vice president, Tim Walz, reminded Americans on Labor Day of Donald Trump's perception of rich friends versus regular workers.

“This guy has made it clear how he stands,” Walz said on Monday in Milwaukee, August 2. “He’s sitting down at Mar-a-Lago after he got elected president and this was his exact quote, he’s talking to a bunch of folks at Mar-a-Lago: ‘You’re rich as hell, and we’re gonna give you a tax cut'. At the same time, he was telling workers they get paid too much already. That’s who this guy is.”

The 60-year-old then summed up, "You tell me who in Wisconsin is sitting around saying, ‘damn, I wish they’d give billionaires tax cuts and sc**w me over. Damn, I wish they’d take my health care away. I wish they’d underfund my public school. I wish they would make my job more difficult and more dangerous. And then at the end of the day, I wish they’d make me work ‘til I’m 75 years old'.”

“No one’s saying that,” he said, per Yahoo News. “No one’s asking for that agenda. What they’re asking for is to be treated fairly, with dignity.”

Donald Trump made tax-cut promise to 'rich as hell' donors at a 2023 event

At a private club appearance last year, Donald Trump elicited loud applause from his "rich as HELL" audience before promising, "We're gonna give you tax cuts!" The former president supported Lt Gov Mark Robinson of North Carolina in a speech at his exclusive Mar-a-Lago club that was streamed live on social media by another club member.

In less than a minute, Trump made promises of "tax cuts" among other things while making jokes about the audience's wealth and urging them to donate to Lt Gov. Robinson at the speech.

"I just want to thank everybody. Whatever you can do to help Mark and Yolanda win this election. And he’s got a tough opponent, not a good opponent, but a tough opponent, a political person," he said per Mediaite. "And it’s not going to be that easy. He’s going to he’s a star. But a lot of times people say, well, this is going to be easy for him. And then they forget the vote. They don’t go out to vote. You got to get out and vote!"

"But you got to help them financially because you are all people that have a LOT of money! I know twenty of you, and you’re rich as HELL!" Trump added while the gathering burst out in laughter.

The 77-year-old finally concluded, "I hope you can back him and write, checks him and do everything. And then we’re going to close the border. We’re going to give you tax cuts, we’re going to pay off our debt. We’re going to do all of the things that we have to do. We’re going to stop crime!"

He's very good at this." Another added, "Man, oh man, Walz is good. He didn't miss a beat, he didn't miss an emphasis, every syllable perfect, every inflection and emotion spot on. He was so much he right pick."

"He's a maestro. This is what we've needed for decades. Clone this guy!" remarked one while someone else wrote, "Walz has conviction, something that’s impossible to fake, and what happens when telling the truth and he knows what he’s talking about. #WalzWithMeToTheBallotBox"
