WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trump was allegedly told his name appeared in the Jeffrey Epstein files, despite his repeated denials.

That’s according to multiple White House insiders who say that, back in May, Attorney General Pam Bondi and Deputy AG Todd Blanche sat Trump down for what they described as a “routine briefing” on the Justice Department’s findings related to Epstein. Trump’s name was reportedly mentioned in the documents.

But Bondi didn’t just flag Trump, she told the president that other big-name VIPs were sprinkled throughout the files as well. According to CNN’s sources, Bondi made clear that “investigators did not find evidence of a so-called client list or evidence refuting that Epstein died by suicide.”

White House officials reportedly downplayed the revelation. “The White House is not surprised by this, Trump’s name was present in the binders that Bondi produced and handed out,” one insider shrugged to CNN, noting that his name had already shown up in previously released DOJ material. “The White House does not view this as groundbreaking or new or surprising at all.”

White House defends President Donald Trump

If you ask the West Wing, however, Donald Trump wasn’t close with Jeffrey Epstein, and, notably, he gave the guy the boot.

“The fact is that the president kicked him out of his club for being a creep,” White House Communications Director Steven Cheung said in a statement to CNN, brushing off the whole thing as another chapter in the “fake news” saga. “This is nothing more than a continuation of the fake news stories concocted by the Democrats and the liberal media, just like the Obama Russiagate scandal, which President Trump was right about.”

Trump’s connection to Epstein has always been a sore spot. The two ran in the same New York circles in the '90s. Of course, Epstein had a habit of getting into the good graces of celebrities, but the new information doesn’t really expand on what was already known.

Still, the optics aren’t great, especially after the Wall Street Journal reported on a 2003 birthday album Epstein received for his 50th birthday that allegedly included a letter with Trump’s name and a sketch of a naked woman. Trump has denied ever writing it and has since sued the Journal for publishing the piece.

MAGA base erupts as Donald Trump claims ignorance of Jeffrey Epstein file mention

Despite the reported May meeting, Donald Trump later claimed he had no idea his name was in the files. “No, no,” he said last week when asked directly whether Pam Bondi told him. “She’s given us just a very quick briefing.”

However, the shifting narrative has only fueled outrage within Trump's own MAGA base. He has been battling weeks of backlash after his administration blocked the release of additional Epstein documents, a decision that left some of his most hardcore supporters fuming.

Behind the scenes, West Wing aides were allegedly livid that Bondi didn’t scrub Trump’s name from the Epstein binders before passing them out back in February.

According to CNN, Bondi's "failure to protect the president during the episode has been a longstanding point of contention between the DOJ and the White House."

Congress clashes with DOJ as Jeffrey Epstein fallout grows

While the White House insists it’s all “not credible” and that Donald Trump has zero to do with any Jeffrey Epstein mess, the political fallout is real.

“The DOJ and FBI reviewed the Epstein Files and reached the conclusion set out in the July 6 memo,” Pam Bondi and Todd Blanche said in a joint statement on July 23. “Nothing in the files warranted further investigation or prosecution, and we have filed a motion in court to unseal the underlying grand jury transcripts. As part of our routine briefing, we made the president aware of the findings.”

Meanwhile, lawmakers on both sides of the aisle remain unsatisfied. Calls for full transparency on the Epstein case are reaching a fever pitch. Tensions ran so high that the GOP-led House cut its legislative session short to avoid a flood of votes and potential "politicization" of the issue.

However, ahead of the shutdown, a House Oversight subcommittee voted Wednesday to subpoena the Department of Justice for all Epstein-related files.
