LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Whoopi Goldberg issued a stark warning, saying that if Donald Trump gets Greenland, no country will be safe.

Goldberg and her co-hosts on The View were discussing Trump’s push to acquire the island territory owned by Denmark on Wednesday, January 21, when co-host Sara Haines reportedly said, “I do think he might get Greenland.” Sunny Hostin then interrupted, saying, “Greenland is not for sale!”

Goldberg went on to warn, “Listen, if they allow him to do this, no country on this planet is safe.”

Her comments followed remarks by the president, who claimed that acquiring Greenland is important “from the standpoint of national security.” “Greenland is covered with Russian and Chinese ships all over the place. We need Greenland from the standpoint of national security, and Denmark is not going to be able to do it,” he added.

Trump says he won't use force to get Greenland

Speaking on Wednesday in Davos, Switzerland, the Republican leader asserted that only the United States can control and safeguard Greenland.

He argued, “We never asked for anything. And we never got anything. We probably won't get anything unless I decide to use excessive strength and force where we would be, frankly, unstoppable.”

However, Trump emphasized that he would not use force to obtain Greenland. “I don't have to use force. I don't want to use force. I won't use force,” he added.

In response, Sunny Hostin said on her program that “across the board, our NATO alliance, I really think is at risk at this point. Our allies are now speaking up vociferously, I mean you saw them saying we, this is a new world order.”

“This, and that should be something that should be, we should be very afraid of, because right now with our alliance, China is on this side and Russia is on this side,” she pointed out.

Sunny Hostin fears China might become 'new sort of ruler of the world order'

Sunny Hostin said she fears a realignment of global power could push smaller nations toward China, reshaping the world order.

Hostin said she believes middle-tier countries are “going to unite.”

“I think they may possibly go to China, which means that China becomes the new sort of ruler of the world order and that is scary. I think that is a very scary thing for us,” she asserted.

During the discussion on 'The View', Whoopi Goldberg again expressed frustration with Donald Trump, saying, “25th amendment...It's time, it's time.” She added that Trump “is sitting in a position that is uncomfortable to me. I'm sorry. I'm uncomfortable with him as president.”

Conservative panelist Alyssa Farah Griffin pushed back, responding, “Just remember, the 25th Amendment requires the cabinet around him to act. As a dose of reality, his cabinet is squarely with him.”
