EDMOND, OKLAHOMA: At least 12 people were injured after a shooting erupted at a ‘Sunday Funday’ party near Arcadia Lake outside Oklahoma City, leaving witnesses in shock and traumatized.
The tragic event occurred late on Sunday, May 3, as emergency services swarmed the area.
Witnesses report mass shooting near Arcadia Lake
Officers found multiple people with gunshot injuries inside a vehicle near East 15th Street and Timberlake Avenue as they arrived at the scene, News 9 reported.
Eyewitnesses recall a horrifying moment as they share how it felt seeing their loved ones being shot. A woman told reporters at the site that her cousin and sister were shot. A man said that he was also shot in the leg but was doing well.

Other people present at the site claimed hearing over 30 shots fired.

A photo posted online also showed a white sedan with red streaks on the side, appearing to be streaks of blood.
Authorities report multiple people were transported to hospitals, while a strong security operation is maintained in the area.
Police received several reports of gunfire
Edmond Police spokesperson Emily Ward said police received several reports of gunfire around 9 p.m. on Sunday near Arcadia Lake, where a group of young people had gathered.
Multiple agencies, including the Edmond Police Department, Oklahoma City Police Department, Edmond Fire Department, and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, responded to the scene of a party at the lake.
Nine people were taken to Integris Health Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City, while three others were admitted to Integris Health Edmond Hospital, according to hospital officials.
“This is obviously a very terrifying situation,” the spokeswoman, Emily Ward, said, adding: “We are working extremely hard to find the suspects.”
No suspect arrested so far
As of early Monday, police had not made any arrests. Officers are checking footage from Flock license plate reader cameras to identify those involved.
Police believe two men wearing ski masks opened fire at the party, according to Fox 25.
Earlier, police told KFOR that the gunfire likely came from the Caddo Pavilion at the campground.
