WASHINGTON, DC: President Joe Biden revealed on Friday, April 26, that many Republicans confessed to him that they support him but are concerned that Donald Trump would 'get' them, according to The Wrap.

On 'The Howard Stern Show', Biden said the above remarks when the radio host questioned him, "Some of the guys that you served in the Senate with, I’m talking about Republicans, how are they going along with [Trump as the GOP’s presumptive 2024 presidential nominee]?"

In response, Biden said Republicans refrain from openly criticizing Trump, who is presently on trial in New York for the first of two separate election interference trials, out of fear of retaliation.

He said, "I gave my word I’d never say their names and I never will, [but] in the last three years I’ve had seven sitting Republican senators — well two are gone now — seven sitting Republicans call me to tell me, 'Joe, I agree with you, but I just can’t do it. He’ll get me.'"

After hearing this, Stern said, "That’s what I was going to ask you. Do you get these calls in secret where guys go, 'Listen, I can’t say it publicly, but I’m for you and I’m going to vote for you. I’m a Republican, but screw it, I can’t vote for this guy because he’s talking about ending the democracy.'"

Biden replied, "Well, they’re not saying they’re going to vote for me, they’re saying, 'I agree with you' [that Trump poses a grave danger if reelected]."

Then Stern questioned why George W Bush and Jeb Bush had not come forth to say "Hey, I'm interested in saving democracy for our grandchildren." Biden answered, "Well, I don’t think the election’s over yet on that score."

Stern further asked, "What do you think’s going to happen? I can’t imagine you’re going to lose, but…" to which Biden replied, "He’s promised if he doesn’t win, there’s going to be a ‘bloodbath." He added, "I can’t fathom a president of the United States of America saying that the folks who died defending this country were suckers and losers."

Internet trolls Joe Biden for his statement

Several internet users trolled Joe Biden for his statement claiming that many Republicans confessed to him that they support him but are concerned that Donald Trump would 'get' them and for several other remarks he made during the interview with Howard Stern.

A user wrote on X, "Can't stop Lying. Won't stop Lying," while one added, "All of Stern's listeners already voted for Biden. If our current President, Joseph R. Biden wants to reach new people he should go on a show like Rogan."

A person also wrote, "Can someone please translate for me? I'm not fluent in Biden... Da Faq did he say???" whereas one mentioned, "Not a good thing like you are trying to project."

A person also stated, "He goes on Howard stern ..real reporter…where are the p**n stars lol."
