WASHINGTON, DC: The anti-vaccine organization Children's Health Defense, which was founded by independent presidential candidate Robert F Kennedy Jr, filed two appeals against the Covid pandemic, but the Supreme Court rejected them on Monday, June 24, stated NBC News.

Notably, lower court decisions against the organization remain in effect as a result of the justices' decision not to consider the cases.

In one instance, the Food and Drug Administration's emergency approval of Covid-19 vaccinations in December 2020 was contested, while in the other, Rutgers University in New Jersey was sued for its requirement of the vaccine.

The organization said in court documents related to the FDA complaint that the Covid vaccinations were 'ineffective and lacked proper vetting'. Kennedy's group lacked the legal standing to file a lawsuit, according to the 5th US Circuit Court of Appeals, located in New Orleans.

The Rutgers dispute

The 3rd US Circuit Court of Appeals, located in Philadelphia, found that the plaintiffs in the Rutgers case 'have not stated any plausible claim for relief'.

In April 2023, Kennedy stepped down from the organization to pursue a presidential candidacy. He is now running as an independent after the Democratic primary failed to get him any traction.

Kennedy has taken a leave of absence from the group, yet he is identified as an attorney on the Rutgers Supreme Court filing.

Furthermore, the court denied a challenge to Connecticut's decision to remove a religious exemption for school immunizations in a different issue involving vaccines.
