NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) faced backlash after she attacked the federal government for utilizing military resources overseas instead of at the borders to deal with illegal immigration in an X (formerly Twitter) post.

Her remarks about the supposedly failing foreign policy and military strategy came just days after three US soldiers were killed at their base in Jordan in a drone strike that was reportedly conducted by Iran-backed militia.

Marjorie Taylor Greene claims US troops are 'spread thin and sprinkled all over the world '

Taking to X (formerly Twitter) on February 2, Greene wrote, "Everyone is so sick of all of our problems at home being completely ignored by our government yet we will go bomb the goat herders and foreign terrorists overseas while totally ignoring the terrorists, cartels, criminals invading our country and our government welcoming them in and forcing us to pay for it."

She continued, "This administration is the biggest failure in foreign policy and military strategy. Our troops are spread thin and sprinkled all over the world and left vulnerable to attacks and we have all time lowest military recruitment in history."

"And our border has been ripped wide open by the Biden administration and secretary Mayorkas. Our streets and communities are flooded with illegal aliens from over 160 countries from all over the world, and there are nearly 2,000,000 gotaways inside our country and we have no idea who they are, where they’re from, and what they are capable of," asserted Greene.

In conclusion, the Georgia Rep demanded, "I say put our military at our southern and northern border and seal it tight. And deport every single illegal alien out of our country. Protect our troops! Peace through strength!! Put America First!!!"

One user wrote, "You do realize YOU ARE THE PROBLEM.. Somebody impeach her!! She spends more time on Twitter and creating conspiracy theories than doing her job!"

Another expressed, "Why didn’t MTG and House Republicans shut down the government? Why did House Republicans pass endless CRs that allowed the Joe Biden to continue these policies? Because MTG is corrupt and so are the House Republicans. They are all in on it."

"yea we should retreat on the international stage. i'm sure russia and china won't fill the void," chided a person, taking a dig at Greene.

An individual sternly remarked, "Aren't you part of Congress? The very government that isn't do anything?"

Another user charged, "lol, you are the one serving in Congress, yet you speak making excuses doing nothing that would pass for relief, even temporary. You vote no on anything that is bi-partisan that would pass. you'd rather nothing for something and then whine about it 24/7."

They added, "Working together for something is better than nothing, but you don't see it that way. What do you get paid for other than complaining and wasting time w/ bills that have no chance?"

"Right!!!! You have ignored your entire job. Haven't done a thing that you should do as a legislator and one can only hope you don't return next year," opined one more.
