ROME, GEORGIA: In November, Derek Chauvin was stabbed in prison 22 times by a former gang leader and one-time FBI informant who told investigators that he targeted the ex-police officer as he was notorious for the murder of George Floyd, stated a report by AP News.

Almost a month down the line, ousted Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson has showcased his support for Chauvin and claimed that the ex-police officer is “serving 21 years in prison for a crime he didn't commit.”

This wouldn’t be the first time as, a couple of months ago, Carlson also released a video on X, formerly known as Twitter, titled, “You’ll be shocked to learn this, but it turns out the whole George Floyd story was a lie.”

However, the focus remains on Carlson’s recent support for Chauvin, and more importantly, Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene backing those claims online as she also showed her support for Chauvin, and also shared her view on George Floyd’s death.

Marjorie Taylor Greene backs Derek Chauvin

On X, Tucker Carlson spoke about one of the “great moral atrocities” as he briefly shared information about Derek Chauvin, who is serving time in prison for the murder of George Floyd.

Carlson said, “Problem is, he did not murder Goerge Floyd. We know that conclusively because the medical examiner who performed the autopsy on George Floyd confirmed that he was not asphyxiated or choked to death. He mostly likely died of a drug OD, fatal levels of fentanyl in his system.”

As Carlson shared his report on the same, Marjorie Taylor Greene backed the former Fox News anchor's claims with support for Chauvin.

Greene wrote, “George Floyd died from a drug overdose. Fentanyl. And other drugs. 300 Americans die everyday from fentanyl.”

She also added, “Derek Chauvin should be released from prison and his record should be scrubbed.”

Marjorie Taylor Greene faces backlash on X

After Marjorie Taylor Greene shared her agreement with Tucker Carlson on George Floyd’s death and showed her support for Derek Chauvin, the internet was quick to respond.

One user wrote, “Seriously, wtf is wrong with @RepMTG??” and another wrote, “Marjorie representing the Republican brand as always.”

“Lie,” wrote a person, as another added, “FAKE NEWS MTG - America saw the videos.”

Greene continued to face backlash on the social media platform as one person further said, “You really are disgusting,” and a sixth added, “I guess you don't know how to read. Dummies gonna Dummy.”
