Trump inauguration guest list: Carrie Underwood and Jill Biden among 15 confirmed attendees
WASHINGTON, DC: President-elect Donald Trump is set to be sworn into office for his second term on the upcoming Monday, January 20. The inauguration ceremony is customarily attended by the former presidents of the United States and their spouses, as well as leading public figures in the country.
Earlier this week, former first lady Michelle Obama made the headlines by announcing that she would not be attending the inauguration of the incoming president. Sources have shared that it was because she was not ready to "pretend" to like Trump "for protocol's sake," even though her husband, former president Barack Obama, will be in attendance.
The event, however, will see a host of known faces. Here is a list of celebrities who are as of publication confirmed to attend the second presidential inauguration of Trump.
1. Carrie Underwood
Country singer Carrie Underwood is set to perform 'America the Beautiful' at Trump's inauguration, according to the Associated Press. The 41-year-old issued a statement on Monday that read, "I love our country and am honored to have been asked to sing at the Inauguration and to be a small part of this historic event. I am humbled to answer the call at a time when we must all come together in the spirit of unity and looking to the future.”
2. Lee Greenwood
Singer Lee Greenwood, whose 1984 hit 'God Bless the USA' is beloved by Republicans for decades, will be taking the stage to perform a rendition with the United States Marine Corps band. He reportedly told Newsweek that it would be a "magic moment" for him, adding, "My song is a tribute to the culture of America, Black, white, red, yellow, economic standards. It is about an American, whoever we are as Americans. If they embrace my song as their song, it makes me proud."

Our song Y.M.C.A. is a global anthem that hopefully helps bring the country together after a tumultuous and divided campaign where our preferred candidate lost. Therefore, we believe it’s now time to bring the country together with music which is why VILLAGE PEOPLE will be performing at various events as part of the 2025 Inauguration of Donald J Trump.”
