LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: A$AP Rocky is opening up about balancing fatherhood with his demanding career while raising three children with longtime partner Rihanna during an appearance on 'The Jason Lee Show.'

The rapper shared how the couple relies on family support and reflected on each of their children's unique personalities. His comments came shortly after the family celebrated son Riot's third birthday and shared a heartfelt public moment with him during one of his concerts.

A$AP Rocky shares parenting journey with Rihanna

During his conversation with Jason Lee, Rocky said he and Rihanna receive significant help from their mothers and nannies as they juggle work and family responsibilities. "It's our mothers [and] our nannies, like it's a lot of help," he stated.

He continued, "I'd be lying if I told you we don't got help. We got a lot of help. You know, you need that."

The rapper acknowledged that not every family has the same level of support, "Some people unfortunately don't got that kind of help or support."

He added, "I know as a dad, as a present dad, how much I just want the best for my kids, and I want to be present. But, I'm a hardworking man, you know what I'm saying? And when I'm not at home, I just need to know that my kids are being looked after and loved."

Rocky also spoke about daughter Rocki and sons Riot and RZA, describing himself as "really sensitive" and "really gentle" with his children. He said becoming a father to a daughter felt different after raising two boys.

He said, "RZA was my first, so by the time Riot was born, I already had to learn how to, not learn, but I naturally just love both of them equally, right?... By the time Rocki came, it was like, 'Oh snap, this is different because this is a girl, so you got to handle them a little bit differently.'"

A$AP Rocky, Rihanna celebrate Riot's third birthday

The family's latest celebration came as Riot turned 3 on August 1. Social media footage showed the couple hosting a Spider-Man-themed birthday party, reportedly in Rihanna's home country of Barbados, with Spider-Man balloons, banners, and themed decorations throughout the venue.

Her sister-in-law, Nadia King, shared an Instagram video highlighting a "cake bar," where guests could customize slices of cake with different flavors, toppings, and sauces.

Decorations featuring "Riot 3" in blue, black, and red were also displayed, while another video showed Rihanna, Rocky, and guests singing "Happy Birthday" to the birthday boy.

Earlier this summer, Rocky also shared a touching father-son moment during a 'Don't Be Dumb' tour stop at Los Angeles' Kia Forum.

Suspended above the stage, he spotted Rihanna in the audience holding Riot and called out, "Riot Rose, hey son. Hey buddy. Daddy loves you, son."

Wearing teal over-the-ear headphones, Riot looked toward the stage and waved as Rihanna filmed the exchange.

Although Rihanna has generally kept their children out of the spotlight, she occasionally shares glimpses of family life. Last July, she posted photos from a family road trip, including a picture of RZA and Riot sitting in the backseat. "They so over me on this lil road trip," she captioned the post.
