HARRISBURG, PENNSYLVANIA: Sen John Fetterman (D-PA) has undergone a significant transformation from a staunch progressive to a more moderate figure, prompting several of his key political advisers to depart from his camp, as reported by The New York Times.

Notable among the departing individuals are Rebecca Katz, a long-standing adviser and close associate to the senator since 2015, and Adam Jentleson, his Senate Chief of Staff, who quietly resigned in April.

Sen John Fetterman has been distancing himself from left-leaning members of the Democratic party

Three press staffers, including his communications director who also served as a close aide, have also left the Pennsylvania Democrat’s side, according to the Daily Beast.

The New York Times observed that despite the high-level departures Sen Fetterman's office experiences less turnover overall compared to the average Senate office.

Nevertheless, the departures are noteworthy as these professionals played crucial roles in propelling Fetterman to his current position prior to his notable shift away from the political left.

As opposed to his previous political persona, the senator nowadays regularly takes aim at the left-leaning members of his party.

The Times believes the politician's stance on the Israel-Hamas War and his unconditional support for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has created a rift between him and the left.

Internet reacts as Sen John Fetterman's longtime aides and associates leave his camp

One remarked, "Senator BETTERMAN!!!" Another said, "Doubtful JFett will stray too far off the leftist path but he's letting his principles guide him on a few key issues, regardless of what others in his party say or do. Good for him."

A person offered, "A move to common sense gets those Dems every time I kinda like the new Fetterman," and someone else added, "He will be fine. It may be a little tough to find some Democrats who want to work for him and he may not want Republicans because he’s not a Republican, but there are down the middle center people and John Fetterman seems to Have become."

"Good. They had no business being there in the first place," stated an individual.

One more expressed, "Has nothing to do with bring centrist.... Fetterman decided he was not a Jew hater and that was just too much to bear for the anti-Jew racist progressive Democrats."
