WASHINGTON, DC: Lara Trump, daughter-in-law of Donald Trump and co-chair of the Republican National Committee, threatened "four years of scorched earth" should the ex-POTUS regain the White House in 2024, as per New York Magazine.

Her alarming promise of payback against her father-in-law's perceived enemies has drawn widespread condemnation and raised alarms about an administration driven by revenge.

Lara Trump makes chilling promise of 'four years of scorched earth' if Donald Trump wins in 2024

Speaking at a campaign event, Lara unleashed a chilling promise, declaring, "He's not worried about winning another election. It's four years of scorched earth when Donald Trump retakes the White House."

She added, "He exposed a lot of people. So they have to do everything they can to keep him out of that White House 'cause they know Donald Trump gets in for four more years, the jig is up for them."

Her words echo former President Trump's past rhetoric of positioning himself as a "warrior" and vowing "retribution" for those he believes have been wronged. This promise also aligns with his past approach to governance.

During his first term in office, Trump often viewed himself as the leader of a select group of people rather than the whole nation. Throughout his presidency, the ex-POTUS demonstrated a willingness to reward loyalty and punish perceived enemies, utilizing policy and legal measures to settle scores.

As a candidate, Trump has even pledged pardons for those apprehended for being involved in the January 6 insurrection. Furthermore, he strongly advocates for absolute presidential immunity, suggesting that presidents should be exempt from legal consequences for actions committed while in office.

Internet was quick to blast Lara Trump for the threats of retaliation

One remarked, "They’re saying the quiet part out loud," and another stated, "A most effective stand-alone campaign ad to immediately disseminate everywhere for Biden 2024. Does Lara even remotely understand the history behind the term 'scorched earth'?"

A person quipped, "Lara knows if Trump goes down her meal ticket ends along with her 15 minutes. She’ll say and do anything to continue with her lifestyle. Typical."

"Really stupid person saying the election and their 'administration' will be about revenge and destruction isn’t winning any new voters," expressed someone else.

An individual joked, "I have concluded that Lara Trump isn’t smart. My suspicions started when she married Eric Trump," and one more took a jab at her singing skills, saying, "'Scorched Earth' is their theme song and that’s how Lara sings… no thanks."
