Al Sharpton blasts Donald Trump for comparing himself to Abraham Lincoln
Over the weekend, Trump reiterated claims about his presidential legacy, stating, "There’s been no president since Abraham Lincoln that has done more for the Black individual in this country than President Donald J Trump. Not even close."
Sharpton criticized Trump's nomination of three white Supreme Court justices who supported dismantling affirmative action in college admissions and overturning abortion rights protections.
Sharpton also highlighted the speculation about Trump potentially selecting Senator Tim Scott (R-SC), who is Black, as his running mate—a prospect Sharpton seemed to embrace. "I dare Donald Trump to put Tim Scott on the ticket," Sharpton challenged.

The civil rights activist has been critical of Scott, once an adversary of Trump in the primaries who has since become a devoted follower. Scott has faced criticism for his tacit support of Trump's election denials and his sycophantic behavior. "I just love you!" he told Trump at an event in January.
"So be my guest, Donald," Sharpton continued. "Think you can placate us with somebody that just genuflects to you rather than serves their constituents." Eddie Glaude Jr, another guest on 'Morning Joe,' offered a sharp critique of Trump's habit of comparing himself to Lincoln.
"Donald Trump, in that moment, is not gaslighting us. He’s just being stupid," Glaude an author and professor of African American studies at Princeton remarked. "That just doesn’t make sense on any level."
Internet says Donald Trump's 'narcissism' far off the charts
The internet backed Al Sharpton after he called out Trump for outrageously comparing himself to Abraham Lincoln.
A 'Morning Joe' viewer said, "His narcissism is so far off the charts it’s unbelievable."
Another one said, "Ah yes, because encouraging Proud Boy groups is totally helping the black community."
One user mocked Trump saying, "Even the pro-Trump NRA crowd barely applauded Trump on that doozy."
Another one ridiculed, "Trump's term in office went from Charlottesville through total failure to address the pandemic to the attack on the US Capitol. He was the worst president ever by far."
One MSNBC viewer said, "The simple question to Trump: please give concrete and verifiable examples of what you have done for the Black people in America. Then, we can believe him. The same goes for every false claim that he makes: if you have something, show us There is no need to bla-bla-bla what Trump said or pretended to be during one of his rallyes."
An angry user said, "Question... how can these two claims be logical true? (1) Denounce and deny Black Lives Matter... while (2) simultaneously claiming to have done great things to improve the lives Blacks? MAKE IT, MAKE SENSE."
Another one said, "Ludicrous! If you think trump is on your side, enjoy your view from under the bus."
