Alejandro Mayorkas ripped for saying Biden’s border policy cannot be blamed for death of 12-year-old girl
TUCSON, ARIZONA: Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas has been slammed online after he reportedly said that President Joe Biden’s border policy was not responsible for the death of the 12-year-old Texas girl, Jocelyn Nungaray.
Nungaray’s body was discovered on June 17 after two undocumented immigrants — 26-year-old Franklin Jose Pena Ramos and 21-year-old Johan Jose Rangel Martinez — allegedly sexually assaulted and strangled her to death.
But Mayorkas believes only criminals should be blamed for the crime, not the government.

During a press conference from a Border Patrol aircraft hangar in Tucson, Alejandro Mayorkas responded when asked about Jocelyn Nungaray, as reported by The New York Post, “The individual who is responsible for a heinous criminal act is the criminal.”
Mayorkas also justified the screening process of the immigrants as he claimed, “We screen and vet individuals when we encounter them,” despite the reports saying at least eight ISIS-linked suspected terrorists entered the nation before being recently caught.
“We did not have derogatory information when they were first encountered. Concerns were raised subsequently, we used our law enforcement authorities to apprehend and detain them and they are in removal proceedings as we speak,” the 64-year-old added.
Border agents thrash Alejandro Mayorkas
But Border agents disagreed with Alejandro Mayorkas as one Border Patrol source hit back, “I don’t know what Mayorkas is smoking because it needs to be legalized.”
“If by vetting he means fingerprinting and doing some half-a**ed background check that has access to almost nothing outside of the United States, then yeah it’s a great process,” they added.
Another source shared, “Obviously he knows that the vetting isn’t working and the American people know that’s a false statement and that he’s just towing a political line.”
Jocelyn Nungaray’s family calls for better vetting process
Meanwhile, Jocelyn Nungaray’s family has demanded “a safer country.”
Her mother Alexis said, as reported by Fox News, “We have to stop burying our kids. This isn’t right. We have to have more reinforcement when it comes to letting people in. This is not okay.”
“These are people that come who were used to doing this type of thing. It’s just sad it happens all over the country. We need a safer country,” the devastated mother added.
Also, Nungaray’s granddad Kelvin asserted, “I would like the people that can make changes to our laws to just sit back and reflect.”
"I don’t know if we can transmit the pain that we’re having through cameras but please sit back and reflect and think of all these little angels that shouldn’t have been taken away, and they have for the reason that we’re not doing what we need to, screening these people,” he mentioned.
Alejandro Mayorkas called a ‘soulless’ person
Meanwhile, people online have blasted Mayorkas as a reader below The New York Post article wrote, “Item #1 in the politician playbook, lie in a convincing manner and expect them to believe you. It doesn't work but they do it anyway. It's easier than facing reality.”
Another reader said, “So a bank that leaves its doors and safes unlocked overnight with a huge COME ON IN ! sign on its' window has zero responsibility when all the cash is stolen?”
One commented, “Don't believe one word that comes out of these serpents' mouths. Biden and Mayorkas lie straight-faced to the American people. The President of the United States lies to all US citizens. Vote Biden out.”
“This man belongs in jail. Period. It doesn’t matter what side of the aisle you’re on. Another 9/11 in the making,” a user stated.
Another added, “‘Soulless’ seems an inadequate response to him.”
