WASHINGTON, DC: Joe Biden faced accusations of spewing lies recently after the 81-year-old US President claimed in a recent interview with radio show broadcaster Howard Stern that he received myriad questionable images from women during his tenure as a Senator.

This isn't Biden's first rodeo in experiencing immense scrutiny online as in a recent rally in Syracuse, New York, Biden faced allegations of playing the victim as he referenced himself while honoring the slain police officers.

Joe Biden claims women sent him provocative images in the 70s

According to the New York Post, Biden recently sat down for a candid chat with Stern where he made revelations on several topics. But it was one particular revelation that got people buzzing with opinions on social media.

Biden shared that back in the 1970s, when he was a young and single senator grieving the loss of his first wife Neilia Hunter, he received some scandalous photos from "lovely women." He didn't keep them and he handed them over to the Secret Service.

As stated by the New York Post, reflecting on those times, Biden mentioned to Stern, "A lot of lovely women but women would send very salacious pictures and I’d just give them to the Secret Service. I thought somebody would think I was…"

It’s not entirely clear why Biden mentioned the Secret Service, whose main job is to protect the president and investigate financial crimes.

Internet users brand Joe Biden a 'habitual liar'

Criticizing Biden for his comments, a user wrote, "All he does is lie."

Another user wrote, "Senator Biden's secretary printing off the latest "salacious picture" from the fax machine."

A user commented, "I was the first senator with secret service and guess what? I was put on the most eligible bachelor’s list, because I’m the best looking senator, and so special… women would come outta the woodwork and send pictures to me and the secret service had to stop them… lol…. This guy is an egomaniac!!!!!"

Another user commented, "As the DOJ said in his report this is a well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory."

A user stated, "Habitual liar. He just can't tell the truth."
