WASHINGTON, DC: Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli brought his popular voice to the White House on Friday, October 17.
He performed in the Oval Office for President Donald Trump ahead of his meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. In a video shared by one of Trump’s staff, the legendary singer performs while everyone in the room is standing.
Andrea Bocelli to again perform at White House on December 5
Margo Martin, Donald Trump’s special assistant, shared the footage of the special moment on social media, showing everyone in the Oval Office standing on their feet while Bocelli performed his classic hit, 'Time To Say Goodbye' (Con Te Partiro).

Bocelli sang with his usual grace and power in the historic setting, just hours before Zelensky’s high-stakes meeting with Trump. Other clips shared by Martin showed the president talking with the legendary singer while sitting at the Resolute Desk, listening to his recordings.
Speaking about Bocelli’s visit, Trump said, “He’s coming December 5th to perform at the White House for some of the people. If the cabinet members are good, if they’re doing a good job, we’ll let them come along with some others, right? We’re gonna have a good time.”
Andrea Bocelli's support for Ukraine

It is not clear whether the visit was linked to Volodymyr Zelensky and Donald Trump's meeting, but Andrea Bocelli has been an outspoken supporter of Ukraine in its war against Russia, even taking part in fundraising for war refugees and adopting a dog named Jack who was injured in the war.
He runs a charity organisation called the Andrea Bocelli Foundation, which works toward raising money for emergency aid in Ukraine, along with providing housing, food, and medicine to refugees. It also offers “psychological support concerts” to offer hope to displaced families.
Trump's long-time admiration for Andrea Bocelli

Donald Trump has been a longtime fan of Andrea Bocelli. The president has even played his music at his rallies, including 'Time To Say Goodbye' at an event in Pennsylvania in October 2024.
According to The New York Times, the POTUS held a family reunion in 2011 with Ivanka and Melania Trump at an Andrea Bocelli concert in Central Park.
