An emotional goodbye on live television
As the show came to a close, Cohen addressed viewers directly, visibly emotional as he spoke about the loss that had shaken the entire 'Watch What Happens Live' team.
"This is hard for me to get through," he admitted before revealing that Samson had died Tuesday night after her fight with brain cancer.
Remembering her years behind the scenes, Cohen described Samson as someone whose warmth and quiet personality made her instantly beloved.
But he also recalled another side of her, a determined professional who could effortlessly take charge whenever the situation demanded it.

He laughed while recalling how fans at BravoCon would see the petite production manager confidently directing enormous crowds with a bullhorn, calling it a sight no one who attended would ever forget.
A legacy that lives beyond the studio
As the tribute continued, Cohen became overwhelmed with emotion, wiping away tears while reflecting on the impact Samson had on everyone who worked alongside her.
He said the loss would be deeply felt throughout the production team and by everyone fortunate enough to have known her personally.
Rather than asking viewers to simply remember her, Cohen encouraged them to support a cause created in her name.
He urged fans to contribute to the Kyra Fund, which supports research into glioblastoma with the hope of improving treatment options and helping future patients facing the disease.
Yesterday, my daughter, Kyra, passed away peacefully after a 9 month and 11 day fight against one of the cruelest diseases I’ve ever seen up close. She was diagnosed with Brain Cancer, specifically Glioblastoma. I have felt all of your concern and love for these months and… pic.twitter.com/sVWH39UICA

Family shares heartbreaking message
Samson's father, former Miami Marlins president David Samson, announced her passing a day earlier in a deeply personal social media post.
He wrote that no brief message could truly capture who his daughter was, describing her as someone who loved deeply and whose life was cut tragically short.
Reflecting on her final months, he praised the courage and grace with which she handled her illness despite the devastating diagnosis.
He also expressed hope that future families would be spared the pain his family is now experiencing and that no young person would have to endure the suffering his daughter faced.
