MONTECITO, CALIFORNIA: An insider report has shed light on tensions surrounding the Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle, suggesting that her relationship with former Vogue editor Anna Wintour has become increasingly strained.

Anna Wintour and Meghan Markle rift explained amid ‘hatred’ claims

According to the report, Wintour and Meghan's relationship has deteriorated significantly, with an insider claiming it has reached the point of “hatred.” It further alleged that she has “pledged her allegiance” to Enninful, which reportedly upset Wintour.

He further added, “Anna hates her. Meghan doesn’t want to pay, and never returns things. Also, Anna loves the Royal Family. She is a Dame. Anna would have hated how they [the Sussexes] handled their exit from The Firm.”

The insider further alleged that Meghan has been “spiraling,” with relationships between the couple and their high-profile acquaintances continuing to deteriorate. “They have truly lost the plot. I hear she’s spiraling badly because she knows nothing is working. The whole thing about her [As Ever] stuff selling out isn’t true anymore. I don’t think either of them is happy.”

In the clip, which was posted on X, she is seen asking Wintour how she was, before the two embraced and exchanged cheek kisses. According to 'The Mirror', Wintour can also be heard telling Meghan, "Nice to see you," before glancing at her all-white ensemble and adding, "Beautiful, Cherie. You look amazing."

Meghan Markle discusses Australia visit and support for designers

Meanwhile, the remarks come after the Duchess opened up about her fondness for spending time in Australia following the couple’s recent, widely publicized visit. Expressing her admiration for the country, she said, “My husband and I have such an affinity for Australia.”

Recalling a moment from their departure, she added, “I said to him the day we were flying out, The only thing better than Australia are Australians.” Meghan also shared in her interview with 'Women’s Weekly' that she made a conscious effort to support and wear Australian designers throughout her visit.

Speaking further in the interview, Meghan addressed the importance of giving proper recognition to designers whose work she wears. “Over the last several years, I would hear about an incorrect designer getting credit for something I wore, either via affiliate links or press, and that never seemed fair,” she said.

“Credit where credit is due. These brands and designers work so hard and take great pride in their work, and I choose them for a reason,” she explained. “Either supporting a friend, being brand loyal, or the reasons I mentioned earlier. So it’s always been important to me that the correct designer is credited.”

When asked to name her favorite outfit from the visit, she reflected on the thought behind each look, saying, “It would be hard to choose one because I put each look together with a different vibe in mind, and I loved them all for different reasons. There wasn’t always time to change between locations, so it was fun to get creative.”
