Anne Hathaway reacts to fake pregnancy rumors after baby bump photos from latest outing go viral
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Anne Hathaway is addressing online speculation surrounding her pregnancy after recently showing off her baby bump at the world premiere of 'The End of Oak Street' in Los Angeles on Sunday, August 9.
Expecting her third child with husband Adam Shulman, she directly addressed claims that her pregnancy was being faked.
The speculation comes as Hathaway also celebrates 25 years of 'The Princess Diaries,' the film that marked her feature debut and launched her career.

On Monday, August 10, Hathaway shared a video on Instagram taking followers along as she headed to the red carpet for 'The End of Oak Street.' In the caption, she responded to internet speculation that began after images from the film's premiere went viral.
“Fake hair, real bump,” she captioned the video. She also invited followers to enjoy the “Block Party chaos” with her as her outfit “literally melts in the heat.”
The speculation began after Hathaway showed her bare baby bump in a silk crop top and low-rise jeans at the world premiere of her new film in Los Angeles on Sunday, August 9.
Hathaway announced her pregnancy on Friday, June 19, through an Instagram video. Wearing a flowy white dress, she walked into the frame with her arms in front of her stomach, smiled, cradled her belly, and then ran out of the frame. “x Baby, I’m yours x,” she captioned the post.
The couple married in 2012 and are already parents to sons Jonathan and Jack. Days after the pregnancy announcement, a source told PEOPLE that Hathaway was “focused on family” as she prepared to become a mother of three.
The source also described her as grateful for her career and the opportunity to be part of a meaningful film, adding that she approaches everything with “gratitude and professionalism.”
During an appearance on 'Late Night with Seth Meyers' last month, Hathaway described her pregnancy as “amazing” and revealed she was “shocked” to learn she was pregnant again.

At 'The Odyssey' premiere in New York City on July 14, Hathaway explained the deeper meaning behind the nickname.
She said that as people reach a certain age, hope can feel like “1% to 2%,” so she and Shulman had a “very, very healthy, realistic expectation” that was very low.
She added that they were “overjoyed” because they know from personal experience that not everybody gets the opportunity to have a child when they want one, or sometimes ever. Hathaway called the pregnancy a “blessing” that she and Shulman “do not take for granted.”
The gender of Hathaway's third baby has not been made public. However, she previously discussed her favorite parts of being a “boy mom” for PEOPLE's World's Most Beautiful 2026 cover story.
She is also celebrating 25 years since 'The Princess Diaries,' which was released on August 3, 2001, and marked her feature film debut at age 18. On Monday, August 3, the Oscar winner shared a throwback video featuring behind-the-scenes footage from the Disney comedy.
“25 years later and it’s still one of the most magical things that has ever happened to me! Thank you all for loving The Princess Diaries as much as I do- I am forever grateful for my PD family!!” she wrote.
Hathaway also paid tribute to director Garry Marshall, who died in 2016 at age 81, writing, “Love you Garry, miss you every day xx.”
