PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA: Former White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci is placing his bet—Donald Trump will debate again, no matter what the former president says.

Trump recently took to Truth Social to announce that his latest debate with Vice President Kamala Harris in Pennsylvania, on Tuesday, September 10, was his second and final one of the 2024 election cycle.

“THERE WILL BE NO THIRD DEBATE!” Trump emphatically declared, doubling down on his decision after having previously debated President Joe Biden in June. However, Biden dropped out of the race just three weeks later and endorsing Harris as the next Democratic nominee.

Notably, following the recent debate, Harris’ campaign proposed a second debate in October. During a rally in Charlotte on Thursday, September 12, Harris also said, per CNN, “I believe we owe it to the voters to have another debate because this election and what is at stake could not be more important.”

Anthony Scaramucci compares Donald Trump's tactics to UFC showmanship

Anthony Scaramucci, who briefly served as Donald Trump’s communications director for 11 days, joined Anderson Cooper on 'AC360' to discuss the situation.

When Cooper asked, “Do you think he’s actually not going to debate?”

“It’s 100% that he’s gonna debate. I’ll make that prediction here. He’s he’s a wrestler. You know, he’s like a UFC thing. He’s gonna say he’s not gonna debate. He knows he lost the debate," Scaramucci confidently responded.

Donald Trump’s performance in the September 10 drew criticism from some conservative figures, who noted his combative tone and accusations of dishonesty. After the first debate, Trump took the unusual step of appearing in the spin room to assert his victory.

“I was in that spin room,” Anthony Scaramucci recalled.

“When he arrived in that spin room, he went right to Sean Hannity’s desk to tell everybody he won the debate, but he lost the debate. He knows. Anderson, he never would’ve showed up in the spin room if he had won that debate.”

Anderson agreed, adding, “Generally, if a night goes well, you don’t go to the spin room.”

“Yeah, of course, you don’t do that," Scaramucci echoed the sentiment.

"He knows he lost the debate and he knows he’s debating her again. But he has to have a buildup. He thinks there’s a negotiating chip. He’s trying to show his macho flex.”

Scaramucci also pointed out Trump’s rushed arrival at the Philadelphia debate, landing only two hours before it began.

“He’s not gonna be ready,” Scaramucci had said at the time. “He’s gonna be unraveled.”

Internet reacts to potential Donald Trump-Kamala Harris rematch

As speculation swirls around a possible second debate between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris, social media users aren’t holding back their opinions.

"The felon needs another debate, Kamala not so much. If she has time she can consider it," a user commented

"Exactly.....she now has the luxury of being able to torment him like a cat does to it's prey......." another said.

"Listening to her smack his ego around was perfection. He has a bruised ego now and that makes him angry...LOL," a third tweeted.

"Fine, but tell what her policies are and why she and Biden haven't already implemented them if they're so great," read a tweet.

"I think Kamala should wait until he asks for a debate, then tell him it's a terrific idea, but that she'd like to wait until his health care plan is finished so they can debate it. There won't be a debate. Obamacare vs Concepts," penned a user.

"Trump has never "debated". He speaks lies, falsehoods and insults. He got spanked again by Harris," chimed another.

"Lol….never seen her ever take a hostile press. Is that why she hides away?" mocked a user.

"Trump was so thoroughly trashed that Republicans want ABC investigated," said a user.
