Ariana Grande booed after horror icon Elvira reveals her diva behavior during 2015 encounter

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Cassandra Gay Peterson, famously known as the 'Queen of Halloween' and portraying horror hostess Elvira, Mistress of the Dark, recently made headlines for exposing the disrespectful behavior from singer Ariana Grande. 

A 2015 encounter of Grande dismissing Peterson's request for a photo has ignited discussions online. Peterson publicly calling out Grande's diva behavior at a recent event led to fans booing the pop star.

During a recent public appearance, Peterson spoke candidly about her past encounter with Ariana Grande. 

This took place at a Q&A session on October 18 during Knott's Scary Farm, the seasonal Halloween event in Buena Park, California. When an audience member shouted out Grande's name, Elvira seized the opportunity to share her experience with the 'Thank U, Next' singer from a 2015 event.

Elvira recounted, "She came and she brought 20 guests, so she wanted 20, 21 tickets. We’re like, ‘OK,’ and we give her the tickets. She comes backstage and she asks if I could take pictures with all of her friends and relatives [that] she brought’ and she replied, ‘Nah, I don’t really do that.’"

To exacerbate the situation, Elvira revealed that Grande left before her performance ended, while her family and friends stayed behind. This prompted boos from the audience, leading one of the event's presenters to comment, "She's playing the wrong witch."

Internet slams Ariana Grande's 'disrespectful' behavior toward Elvira

After hearing about Ariana Grande's dismissive encounter with Elvira, many internet users quickly took to social media to voice their opinions, with several criticizing Grande for declining the opportunity to take a picture.

One person wrote, "That’s really mean how dare you ask her to take pictures with your friends and not return the favor… what kinda person Ariana wtf". The second user added, "Why would anyone be rude to the mistress of the dark? That's so odd".

One commented, "I don't think Ariana understands that when her and Elvira are in a room, Elvira is the celebrity, not her," 

One more person added, "Anyone should be HONORED to take a photo with Elvira."

One slammed, "I mean it was disrespectful to do after she asked her to do so much, that’s my point."

Someone else said, "I’m sorry, who passes up an opportunity to have a picture with THE ELVIRA?!?!😱" The last user shared, "Ur actually joking… her expecting that much then not even taking a single photo? that’s insane."
