LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Ariana Grande ignited political debate on Sunday, September 28, after she appeared to call out supporters of President Donald Trump in a fiery Instagram Story.

Reposting a message from podcaster Matt Bernstein, the pop star challenged whether Americans were truly better off eight months into the Republican leader's second term, pointing to harsh immigration policies, attacks on trans rights, and the rising cost of living.

The post quickly gained traction on social media, drawing praise from fans who applauded her bold stance, but also reviving backlash from critics.

Ariana Grande, 32, took a sharp political stance in a recent Instagram Story, questioning whether supporters of President Donald Trump are truly better off under his leadership.

The 'Wicked' star, who backed Kamala Harris in 2024 and Bernie Sanders in 2020, shared a repost from 'A Bit Fruity' podcast host Bernstein, marking 250 days into Trump’s second term.

“It's been 250 days,” the story began, before delivering a pointed critique of the current political climate, “Now that immigrants have been violently torn from their families and communities have been destroyed, now that trans people have been blamed for virtually everything and live in fear, now that free speech is on the brink of collapse for us all - has your life gotten better?”

The post continued with a series of direct questions for Trump supporters, “Have your groceries gotten cheaper? Has your health insurance premium gone down? Has your work/life balance improved?"

It further added, "Can you take a vacation yet? Are you happier? Has the widespread suffering of others paid off for you in the way he promised it would, or are you still waiting?”

Ariana Grande’s decision to repost a politically charged message targeting Donald Trump supporters on her Instagram Story has ignited widespread debate across social media. The post quickly drew a wave of reactions, ranging from support to mockery and harsh criticism.

One user sarcastically wrote, “Oh thank God. Her silence in the political arena was deafening.”

On the other hand, a fan wrote, “Girl, MAGA will go bankrupt trying to buy groceries as long as it means they deported Jorge from Home Depot trying to feed his kids.”

Pointing out the backlash, another fan said, "I like how people are criticizing her right to free speech while using their right to it at the same time."

Critics also questioned her political understanding, with a person writing, "One day Ariana will grow up and realize it’s about the future and vision of America becoming its best. The prior administration had us circling the drain. Her voice makes her talented, but when it comes to wisdom and foresight it’s a total fail."

Others suggested she stay out of politics altogether. “Clearly she has more important things to worry about and she should really address them instead of worrying about politics,” one more said.

Some responses turned personal, with someone writing, “That always works out well....she'll delete the post, apologize, or just continue being a weirdo.”

A Trump supporter went as far as to accuse her of "inciting violence" for sharing the post.
