WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trump's youngest son, Barron, garnered heaps of praise from internet users as he was the only first child to shake hands with former President Joe Biden at his dad's inauguration on Monday, January 20.

Notably, Barron’s action contrasted with the rivalry between his dad and Democratic leaders as the 47th President of the United States took indirect swings at the Biden administration, contrasting his plans to kick off America’s Golden Age.

In a viral video that has made rounds across social media platforms, Barron Trump was seen walking towards Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, who his father defeated in the November election, to shake hands.

Meanwhile, Biden and Harris, among other former presidents and politicians on the other side, refrained from applauding Donald Trump while the considerable audience in the room repeatedly cheered on the POTUS’ policies and plans for the future.

Therefore, Barron Trump’s respectful gesture of extending a handshake to the outgoing leaders stood in contrast with others in the room, according to the Mirror US.

A lip-reading expert, Jeremy Freeman, guessed Barron's conversation with Biden as "G'day to you sir", and with Harris, "Ma'am, good day", according to the outlet.

Meanwhile, in his inaugural address, President Trump vowed to reassert national control and promised a new era where "our sovereignty will be reclaimed. Our safety will be restored. The scales of justice will be rebalanced," according to the Mirror US.

President Donald Trump gave a shoutout to his youngest son, Barron, who was present during his dad's inauguration ceremony on Monday in the Capitol.

Trump said, "I have a very tall son named Barron… has anyone ever heard of him?" as the crowd broke into a loud cheer. He continued, "He knew the youth vote. We won the youth vote by 36 points. He was saying - 'Dad, you have to go out and do this one or that one'. We did a lot of them. He respects them all, he understood them very well."

Throughout the event, Barron maintained a stoic and poised appearance, that prompted many to say that he would be a politician in the future.

Notably, Barron was also at his father's inauguration in 2017, when his father became the president for the first time. He was only 10 years old back then.
