Ben Affleck shares rare insight into co-parenting with ex-wife Jennifer Garner
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Ben Affleck shared a rare but meaningful comment about his co-parenting arrangement with ex-wife Jennifer Garner. During the interview, the 'Accountant' actor shared that raising his three children, Violet, 20, Seraphina, 17, and Samuel, 14, continues to teach him lessons every day.
He described this phase of parenting as “really wonderful” and added that he feels content with his life right now. Affleck and Garner, who co-starred in 'Daredevil' and were once married, finalized their divorce in 2018 after separating in June 2015.

During an interview with Variety, the 54-year-old actor opened up about how he balances his career with his responsibilities as a father. “And then I go home and pick up the children from school. We have dinner if they agree to hang out with me. They’re with me for a week, then with their mom for a week,” he shared.
“They have a great thing with their mom, for whom I’m also really, really grateful. I know things will come up that are hard, and I don’t want to jinx that, but this time in my life as a human being is really wonderful,” he added.
Affleck also explained why he prefers producing projects and working on films in Los Angeles rather than elsewhere. “I’m divorced, I have shared custody, and I don’t want to miss these years. My kids are here, and their life is flying by,” he explained. “I don’t want to have to be in Shreveport or New Mexico in order to work."
"I know some people don’t have the luxury of making those choices. I’m certainly fortunate, but I know from experience that the best crews in the world are in L.A.”
Ben Affleck says his children keep him humble as he tries to share life lessons with them
Affleck has opened up about how his three children keep him humble as he navigates fatherhood. During an appearance on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!', the actor shared how his attempts to give parenting advice often lead to amusing moments at the dinner table.
“Now I give advice and try to talk to them, parent them as you do,” Affleck said. “What I found is that now it’s not only one teenager rolling their eyes; I’ll kind of launch into something at the dinner table, and I’ll catch them giving each other looks, and I realize I’m the caricature in this story.”
Affleck also explained why he feels his life experience is worth sharing with his children, especially when they discuss their friendships and relationships. “My kids are talking at dinner, and they’re talking about their friends and the drama and the relationships, and I have some lived experience, I think, that’s worth sharing, some lessons,” Affleck said. “You know, these are the kind of things we give to our children.”
