LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Ben Affleck noticed an unexpected connection between his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, and his co-star, Kerry Washington.

Ben Affleck reveals the connection between Jennifer Garner and Kerry Washington
During the Wednesday, September 30, episode of Washington’s new 'Street You Grew Up On' podcast, the 'Batman' actor, 54, revealed the similarity.
“You and Jen Garner, by the way- talk about twin spirits. You’re the two... the only people I know who regularly bake for the crew,” Affleck shared. “It’s like this is the category of people who make you feel, no matter how hard you try,” he jokingly continued. “Because Kerry and Jen are always doing you one step better with everybody else.”
“I’m like, yeah, I’m gonna get something, like a wrapped gift for the (crew), and they’re like, ‘So did you get Kerry’s donuts today? Tomorrow she’s doing Halloween muffins,’” he recalled, earning a laugh from Washington and the podcast crew.
“Yeah, we did Halloween Dunkin’ muffins to honor your relationships,” Washington replied. “I was trying to share the light.” Affleck admitted that what she does is truly “amazing” and “a gift.”
Jennifer Garner turned down Ben Affleck’s offer to play his love interest in ‘Animals’
Garner seemingly declined her ex-husband’s offer to play his love interest in his upcoming movie, 'Animals'. “Jen was like, ‘Great, but no, I’m not gonna play your wife in a movie,'” Affleck, 54, shared while appearing as a guest on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!'
“(It’s) probably for the best. That lesson has been learned,” he joked. Affleck explained on the late-night show that Garner and Matt Damon were both set to star in the film.
The 'Daredevil' actor also insisted that he would love to work with his ex-wife on a future project. “She’s fabulous, and we’re really good friends, and I’m profoundly grateful to her, and we have a great thing,” he shared.
“Basically, we found out there was another movie with a similar plot mechanic that was also being made,” he added. “I felt like, ‘Oh, I’ve done the two asteroid movies thing. Let’s forget it. I don’t wanna do that.'”
“It also has the added benefit of, like, both of us will see our kids more because we do a week and a week and back and forth. I thought, ‘Well, we can coordinate our schedules around it,'” Affleck noted.
