Dr Ben Carson honored Kirk’s intellect and faith and warned about Marxist influence in American life.
Carson remembered Kirk as a close friend and partner. He rejected critics who called Kirk “ignorant” because he lacked a college degree, instead praising his sharp mind and dedication to Judeo-Christian values.
He also warned the audience about Marxist influence spreading through education, media, and culture. Urging pastors to preach biblical truth, Carson called on everyone to embrace a spiritual revival.
Carson said, “For many decades, people have tried to fundamentally change who we are,” referencing Cleon Skousen’s 1950s book 'The Naked Communist,' which exposes Marxist attempts to infiltrate schools and teacher unions to indoctrinate youth. He cited a radical leftist’s statement: “Give me your children to teach for four years, and the seed I sow will never be uprooted.”

In his closing remarks, Carson read John 12:24 and pointed out that Charlie Kirk was shot at 12:24 pm. “‘Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone. But if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.’”
Carson thanked Kirk for his sacrifice, affirming that it would bear “much fruit.”
