'The worst possible thing that could happen for Joe Biden was for him to show up on stage and fall apart', said Ben Shapiro

MANHATTAN, NEW YORK: On the June 28 episode of 'Ben Shapiro Show', the host delivered a stark assessment of the latest debate between former President Donald Trump and President Joe Biden, emphasizing that "Biden died on stage" during the first presidential debate held on June 27 by CNN.

The highly anticipated debate between Biden and Trump started poorly for the sitting president, with Biden's scratchy voice and frequent throat-clearing setting a problematic tone from the beginning coupled with his meandering speech, and his unclear points.

Ben Shapiro emphasizes debate's importance as a turning point in 2024 election

"Well, last night was the first and probably only debate between Donald Trump, former president of the United States, and Joe Biden, the current president of the United States," Shapiro began, setting the stage for his analysis.

He underscored the unique importance of this debate, stating, "I said before this debate it was going to be one of the only debates in my lifetime that really, really mattered. It was going to be a turning point in this process because there's no new information that's been added to this process for legitimately a year, and it was going to go one way or it was going to go the other."

Shapiro then highlighted the high stakes for Biden, noting the potential for a disastrous performance. "But the worst possible thing that could happen for Joe Biden was for him to show up on stage and fall apart, and that is precisely what happened last night," he asserted.

According to the host, Biden's performance in the debate was deeply troubling.

He praised Trump for being disciplined and delivering the best debate performance of his career, while describing Biden as looking physically unwell and struggling significantly on stage.

His vivid description suggested that Biden appeared almost lifeless and unable to effectively participate in the debate.

Ben Shapiro horrified by Joe Biden's debate performance

Moving on, Shapiro expressed a sense of horror and sadness watching Biden's performance. "It was pretty horrifying on a sort of emotional level to watch an 81-year-old man being trotted out there by his team, by the Democratic Party, by his family to be humiliated on national television in front of hundreds of millions of people," he said.

He not only expressed concerns about the broader implications of Biden's perceived weakness but also found it deeply depressing and disturbing, worrying that adversaries around the world would see this as an opportunity to exploit until Trump possibly resumes office in January, thereby making the world a more dangerous place.

Reflecting on the overall impact, Shapiro described the general reaction as one of "stunned disbelief."

He explained, "Because I think everybody kind of thought, okay, they'll shoot Biden filled with that cocktail of his and he'll probably just make it through. It'll probably be okay. And then the question will be whether Trump is too volatile or Trump blows right past the moderators or whatever it is."

Turning to Trump's performance, Shapiro was full of praise. "Again, we'll get to Trump's performance, which I thought was outstanding. For Donald Trump, this was easily the best performance of his life. He kept himself contained, he kept himself restrained, he was pointed when he needed to be."

Despite this, Shapiro emphasized that the debate's focus was not on Trump but on Biden. "But this debate was not about Donald Trump; it was all about Joe Biden, and that is why this race is now all about Joe Biden."

Internet users support Ben Shapiro's statement

The internet concurred with Ben Shapiro's claim that "Biden died on stage" with his disastrous performance during the presidential debate with Donald Trump.

One viewer said, "This was elder abuse by law."

Another viewer said, "A completely different level than any other recent one."

One viewer noted, "Man is Joe high or what?"

A follower observed, "Joe Biden is still stunned from the debate. He'll need at least a week to recover."

One comment read, "For once, I agree with you, Ben."

Another comment read, "Agreed, front stage used and back stage controlling. I think all Americans can see this."

"Don't be fooled, Ben....this is planned. They've been playing chess this entire time. Please...." explained one person.
