LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Benny Blanco has disclosed one sweet detail about his wedding to Selena Gomez that fulfilled the singer’s childhood dream.

The record producer and actress got married in Santa Barbara, California, in September 2025. Almost a year after their nuptials, Blanco revealed one of the things they did according to the ‘Only Murders in the Building’ star’s wish during the Tuesday, September 8, episode of his ‘Friends Keep Secrets’ podcast.

The podcast is also co-hosted by married couple Lil Dicky and Kristin Batalucco, and their special guest on Tuesday was Gwyneth Paltrow.

Blanco shared, “We rented a palm tree farm and converted it into a — we just wanted to do something unconventional and Selena ... She has had a dream for a wedding since she was a kid.”

“She’s like, ‘I want to walk down the aisle and I want the aisle to be, like, Persian rugs off centered. I don’t want normal flowers. I don’t want it to feel bougie,’” the 38-year-old said, before adding, “So it was, like, incredible and you could tell we put so much effort into it, but also didn’t feel, like, stuffy.”

The information was loved by Paltrow, who replied, “I love that. That’s so cool.”

This came after earlier PEOPLE cited an insider who reported that Blanco and Gomez’s wedding was full of love.

“There was so much love in the room. The ceremony moved guests to tears. They wrote their own vows, which were both funny and sentimental,” the tipster stated.

They also added that “at the reception, everyone was letting loose and celebrating them well into the night. The vibe was so much fun,” before claiming the newlyweds were “glowing all night” and “couldn’t stop smiling."

The couple’s September 2025 wedding was a private ceremony in Santa Barbara, California, with Lil Dicky officiating. Their celebration reflected Gomez’s preference for a less traditional setting, with Blanco revealing that they transformed a palm tree farm for the occasion.

Selena Gomez opened up about her hopes of becoming a mother

Just a day before Blanco’s revelation, Gomez hinted that she would like to become a mother one day.

In September 2024, the ‘Lose You to Love Me’ hitmaker told Vanity Fair, “I haven't ever said this but I unfortunately can't carry my own children. I have a lot of medical issues that would put my life and the baby's in jeopardy. That was something I had to grieve for a while.”

“It's not necessarily the way I envisioned it. I thought it would happen the way it happens for everyone. [But] I'm in a much better place with that. I find it a blessing that there are wonderful people willing to do surrogacy or adoption, which are both huge possibilities for me,” Gomez had added.
